I can't believe poor Matt got sent back already also!!! I felt so bad for him...but my husband and I could not believe it when he pulled Rob aside and told him he was thinking of voting him out and then changed his mind. I wonder if Rob would have gone after him if he hadn't had done that. :rolleyes:

Hahah....yes, he did get what he deserved. That was an awesome move on Rob's part, but that pretty much sealed the deal .. he will not ever win. No one really appreciates good strategy.

I agree - can't believe what happened to Matt!!! My husband and I were shocked. Do you think if Matt had not told Rob he was thinking of flipping and voting him out that Rob would not have gone after him again?:confused:

That was a good play on Robs part...he flushed out the idol that Ralph had...but I'm not so sure about voting Matt off to redemption island again...I think he should have voted out someone from the other tribe...weakening that alliance...I think that will come back and bite Rob in the a$$.:eek:

I was shocked when Jeff said who ever was voted off will go to redemption island...I figured that once they merged that would be the end of redemption island....this is going to be very interesting.

And I thought no one knew that Ralph had the idol..I must of missed him telling his tribe members he had it.:rolleyes:

I know! Matt looked like he was about to cry. But if you ask me anyone that keeps winning challenges on R.I. deserves to win the whole game!
It was a foolish move on his part to tell Rob, but I think Rob would have been gunning for him anyway.

Rob didn't have a chance in h*ll at that million dollars. Eventually someone's stategy to get him off would work.

Remember Matt telling Rob that the other team would give him the idol if he was in danger? So Rob knew that they had found an idol and assumed that it could be given to anyone that might be a target. I don't think he knew which member had it he just knew that he could flush it out.

Rob is SUCH a good player. He may be the best ever. He sure does know how to read people. He got voted off last time because of Coach's stupidity.

Rob was GREAT last nite!! I just hope they all don't end up turning on him! He needs to win the immunity necklace next week (although he still has an idol). I did feel a little bad for Matt (he actually reminds me of Fabio). Rob needs to get the older people out one by one because the youngers ones are easier to minuplate than the older ones. It's so good!!!

You can never be too nice or honest for your own good. Matt has shown himself to be a remarkable man with great character, who is extremely truthful; I would think a lot of people would love to hire him. I'm kind of anxious to see what God has planned for him! ;)

I really think Rob's doing a great job; don't know if I would have voted off Matt this early, I guess we'll see how that plays out. It sounds like the person who is left on Redemption Island will be one of the final three, and Matt is so great a challenges, he has a very good chance to win their votes in the end. I guess you have to outwit someone, and still keep their respect, and Rob is good at that. I do not want to see Rob and Matt duel on Redemption Island, I love them both.

I couldn't believe Rob sent Matt back to Redemption Island! I think everyone was touched with Matt's perseverance on the island and honesty in explaining to Rob why he wanted to stick with his original tribe.

But Rob is 100 percent gamesman and doesn't let his heart get in the way of the strategy -- and the fun -- of the game. It cracked me up when he rehid the clue for the Idol he already had, just for laughs. And as tough as Matt proved on Redemption Island, it's a credit to Rob for knowing how serious of a threat he is. He's probably just playing with his head by sending him back and knows he'll most likely make it back again.

I want to be like Rob when I grow up. :p

My husband said the same thing - Rob should have gunned for someone on the other tribe for the shear numbers game and waited to gun for Matt later in the game after he dwindled down the other tribe.

It was in that episode or the previous one that Ralph told his tribemates that he had the idol. He told Russell he had it, but when Russell told him to prove it Sarita told Ralph not to show it so Ralph never really let Russell or the other team know that he had it.

I agree! And I do think that Rob should win in the end only because he is really playing the game well. Is he going to win? I don't think so. I do think that Matt is great in the individual challenges and he does have the pity vote. I am guessing that Matt will win - but time will tell.

LOL, no! He is more and more like Coach all the time. All of that goofy-style bravado, zen warrior baloney, and he stinks at challenges, physical or mental.

Matt made me giggle with all of his talk of a higher power wanting him to succeed at Redemption Island, but when it came to being voted back there, he asked, "what are you guys doing?"

I don't see anyone other than Rob having any real strategy right now.

I meant in the game of Survivor! I think he is probably a wonderful person in real life. He is great in challenges too, but his social game is what cost him.
I understand why Rob did it, you don't know what Matt might do and that can be dangerous.

I'm dying to know when Rob will play the Idol. I'm hoping he saves himself at the perfect time, but I'm afraid he's gonna be too confident and get blindsided.

I don't think he was a dummy. He admitted that he was playing dumb so the others wouldn't see him as a threat. LOL He sure is cute though!

I think you may be right but his tribe is pretty passive when it comes to discussing strategy. I think if he gets wind of a possible blindside he could throw Phil under the bus and the girls will jump at the chance to get rid of the special agent for the United States of America.:p

I never understand why they get angry at someone because he/she is mean or manipulative. It's a game and the object is to win isn't it? I like Rob because he may be manipulative but he isn't mean. He's very personable and it's fun to watch his strategy. :)

They have often voted for someone who's out maneuvered them, no one saying that you should play the game. Lying is fine in the game, but you need more than lying to have strategy. Decisions should be made on how much of a threat someone is, not because they "back talked" you. In fact, during speeches if you have never had any strategy, you can be sure the jury doesn't like it. The trick is to manipulate people without making them feel like they were stabbed in the back. Rob plays a very strategic game, and people would still give him votes if he gets it that far. As Alaska Yorkie pointed out, he may get over confident and save the idol too long. Some contestants go too far, and promise on their "children's lives" when they don't even have to, leaving people with a bitter taste in their mouths, and their vote goes elsewhere. In other words, make love to them, don't just screw them.

I just want to put my opinion out there and say that this is the most boring season ever. And I am a diehard Survivor fan.

I think Matt has a good shot at winning. He hasn't alienated anyone at camp and he is proving himself a "survivor" by living alone on Redemption Island and winning to "stay alive" in the game. What do you think?
I agree watching Rob play his game is good but it bothers me that his tribe is so dumb. Do they realize he was on the "villain" team during "Survivor Villains vs Heroes" ??? There is a reason for that. And I would boot him for that alone. Huge threat to me winning. Obviously I'm not playing, but if I were...

Finally, if Matt gets booted and Rob is still in the game, he should win as No one else is playing the game! They're all following his lead. Duh!
