| That's my idea. prob. not the forum that you saw it on, but it mite be. that's what i really really want to do for Sadie. i know many more dogs will come in and out of my life, but Sadie is special. I doubt any dog will ever be as special as my first one nor have such a personality as she does. i've thought over and over and over about getting her paw print tatooed on my foot to symbolize that she walks with me always, but i haven't yet. i'm just not a big tatoo person. i think they can look beautiful and have wonderful meanings, but i can't make the leap and get one. so for now i have a necklace made with two paw prints on a heart and two pearls one for each dog's birthday. i can always add birthstones to it if i want to and it's nothing permanent. should i take the leap and do it??? i've been meaning to get opinions. |

| I love good tats on anyone, and don't like BAD ones on, well anyone. Most people do have pretty bad ones. Like many on this thread have expressed regret about theirs. So far I don't regret either of mine. i do want to get more though when I have extra money to spare. I think I have posted mine before. My first one was a large one across my shoulder blades. No meaning really, I just liked the design and my artist resized it to fit me. My 2nd one was my Jack Sparrow one, and hope to do a whole pirates arm someday. I also want to get some Ralph Stedman (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' artist) style bats on my left shoulder above the collar bone too some day. Bf has a few of them. A snake wrapped around a lotus on his upper arm, he was born year of the snake. Another lotus on his lower belly. A dia de los muertos faced girl on his lower right arm and large roses around the wrist. On his lower left arm has a hindu-style deity and sanskrit, the same saying that Brandon boyd from the band Incubus has. He has had them all colored in since, but I don't have any current photos. The colors came out really nice bc we are ghostly pale and don't tan. He got the ones on his arm done in a local shop that always wins awards, so needless to say they were really expensive and took several sessions to complete.

| Oh yeah, I did want to add, in my bff's wedding party, there were a few of us who had visible tats, but her wedding was pretty casual, so I don't think it was too out of place. Our dresses were pretty casual. They were from Target!

| I don't care for tattoos on me and I am not really crazy about them when I see on someone else. I don't hold it against them though. That is their body and if they choose to put ink on it, go ahead. However.............LOL I did get my brows tattoo'd on. Does that count? My brows are very thin and especially in the summer (less make-up) I look like I don't have any. Went to a very well known (in my area) cosmetic dr office and had it done. It just gives my brows a little color. And yes it hurt like you know what and that was with a numbing shot. |

| Thanks! The image on the right is a pic of Johnny's. I traced it in Illustrator myself and gave a flash drive to the shop bc I didn't trust anyone to do it. I've seen some Jack Sparrow impersonators get the tattoo and theirs does not look even remotely close to Johnny's.
