| Former Marine and no Tatoo. I have no problem with them, or if someone wants one. I was kind of in shock when I saw the first tatoo on a female, but remember, this was well over 50 years ago. I am just not into it, and no one in the family except 2 nephews have any. The Plane Boss, the plane..... |

| I have two, one on my wrist and one on my foot. They are both for my Dad, that passed away in 02. I was very close with my Dad, and not for one day do I forget about him!! I think the tattoos help me cope with it. People will see my Tattoos and ask what are they, what do they mean so I am forced to talk about it, which is good because I always try to hold it in... I will be getting one more, this one will be the big one! It will be on my side and it will be the Script on his card ( I dont know how to explain it but you know when they give you the little card at a funeral with the date of birth and death and it has a picture on it...) My Dad was Italian Catholic so he had Jesus on his card with the sacred heart. That is why I got the sacred heart on my wrist with his initials.. The rosary has the word Dad in the middle and it says always with me on my ankle, My Dad had a rosary, I figured this way I can always have a piece of him with me!Oh BTW, The foot nor my wrist hurt. The only thing when I got my wrist done, it hurt the next morning, it felt like a million cats scratched the crap out of my wrist!! haha but it went away the next day!

| I know someone who has this too- I thought about getting the same when I only had Armani- but then I realized that it would lead to more and more and more, as I added more dogs and wanted to symbolize them in some way as well. This is when I started thinking up something that I could do to symbolize past pets, current pets, and possibly future pets.

I wanted to add my Dad had a heart transplant in 1992, they only last so many years, he was on the list in 2002 for a new heart, he didnt make it in time.. To me the heart on my wrist means more than the scared heart as well..

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I think the small tattoos in areas that don't ordinarily show are ok - but I'm not a fan of highly visible tattoos on men or women. I've seen some wedding parties lately where one or more of the bridesmaids has tattoos all over an arm, neck, and/or shoulder, then they put on these ultra-feminine or ultra-slutty (sorry - can't think of another word for it) bridesmaid dresses and it looks just ridiculous to me. And knowing what my arms look like now compared to when I was in my 20s, I just wonder how these bits of body art will look when they sag - because they WILL sag. I have threatened to have zippers tattooed on my post-surgery scars but those would never be seen by anyone other than my doctor or my sig. other. And at my age I think I would rather spend the money on removal of spots rather than adding more. I'm also not a fan of body piercings other than one per ear, or the big holes in the earlobes. Guess I'm just getting old and cranky. |

| I have a small rose on the inside of my leg right above my ankle. Got it when I was 18, on a whim, but luckily it still looks beautiful. For our 20th wedding anniversary (+ 5 years together before that), my husband and I got some. He got my name tattooed on his ring finger. I love it - as does he! He actually has been wanting it for years because due to his line of work (and hobbies), it's not safe for him to wear a wedding ring but I asked him to wait until our 20th anniversary for it to have more "special meaning". Then I surprised him with my own tattoo... his name in pretty script on the inside of my wrist. I think it's very tasteful and pretty. He was bowled over by that and got very sentimental when he saw it. I'll never regret them. I do not recommend name tattoos for most people..... I have faith in our life-long relationship though.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I was also a dummy and got a random tattoo at the only place that would do tattoos on minors. My BFF had always wanted on, so we decided to get matching ones on our feet. She didn't have enough money the first time we went in, so I got mine first, and the second time we went in, they'd been busted for giving tattos to minors. So I have one and she doesn't.I would like to have it re-done. It's an oriental dragon, and faded as heck. I went to a tattoo expo a few months ago, and got a couple recommendations on how to proceed. I'm hoping to turn the dragon into the ocean (it's blue), and then have a dolphin leaping out.

| I admit, I do like them more on guys than girls. I like a guy with a few tats, I think it looks cool, even when they age. Whereas women's tat's... I dunno, seeing older women with tattoos just doesnt' always look as good as it did when they were 25, lol. With that said, I do want one in honor of my little brother who was 5 when he passed away in 2006. I've just been scared to get one. My mom got his name 'Connor' on her wrist and I love hers. It was her first tattoo at at age 43. But with me being 20, it kind of freaks me out to put something on my body that is going to be there for the rest of my life!

| I've seen some really beautiful artwork on some girls. One girl I know has her entire side from hip to over her ribs covered in a Koi fish. It's gorgeous but has taken her several settings to get completed. I actually have two tattoos - one on my left chest above my heart that has 3 red hearts surrounded by small white & purple starbursts, I got this one for me & my 2 kids when going through a divorce about 10 years ago. The other I got just 2 years ago and it's not exactly what I wanted. It's 4 stars alternating on my lower ankle to just on top of my foot - 1 large blue - 1 large pink -1 small blue - 1 small pink (to represent my husband, me, my son, my daughter). I wanted these starts to be connected by a purple ribbon but the tattoo artist misunderstood me and I didn't understand him when describing it. What I got instead of a ribbon is purple "flow" which is like a purple cloud. I don't hate it but I don't really like it either - it's just not what I wanted. If you get a tattoo please make sure you understand exactly what you want and that the tattoo artist understands. Have them draw it out for you if you are doing something special. I am making plans to get the one on my ankle covered up. My daughter and husband both have birthdays in February so their birth month flower is Violet. I thought I might have Violets added to cover up the tattoo and even extend it on my foot a bit. My workplace also doesn't allow tattoos to show so I can't ever wear skirts without having boots to cover them up. A lot of young people don't think about their future workplace when getting tattoos so I always encourage them to get a tattoo in a place that can be hidden if necessary. Also, get one that is tasteful. I know I wouldn't hire someone with a pot plant tattooed on their neck!! Teresa |

Thank you!! If you always wanted one on your foot, then get it. You will be amazed how much it doesn't hurt lol. its so worth it!! I love foot tattoos!! The ONLY time it hurt was when he did the writing on my ankle, thats the only time I was uncomfortable.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I would say the foot is painful, but it's a sting-y kind of pain. Unpleasant, but not unbearable. I've heard some parts on the lower back hurt quite a bit.
