Turkey hunting does sound like fun. Except for salmon, I've never killed anything bigger than a mouse, but if I did it would be a turkey. They are scary ugly.

Also, their presence will make the deer more comfortable and hopefully make them think there isn't a predator around. | |

| ![]() I smoked some sausages a couple of weeks ago. Poked them on sticks, smoked them, then froze them. I always have a few in the fridge. Just wrap in a paper towel and nuke it. Handy manly snack on a stick. This weekend, I'll be mowing. ![]() |

Nah, I grew up in a lousy hunter family. I did the NRA course and went out ever year in my youth. And not one of us got a deer. I think I lost interest. Plus, up here there are always good hunters willing to share their meat.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | ![]() Sweet. C'mon up. We'll go fishin' and you can teach me how to barbecue. I turn everything (except salmon) into charcoal.

| ![]() I'll take a stab at this, but I will admit it's without any experience with ribs. I used to try and cook EVERYTHING the same way I cook T-bone and hamburger... over a VERY hot fire for quick searing/cooking. I'm thinking ribs should be cooked slowly over a low/medium hot fire? EDIT - Oops, not posted fast enough, but it WAS a good guess, right? Last edited by MrYorkiecrazy; 04-24-2008 at 06:25 PM. Reason: clarity |
