I've been seeing so many good comments about Dyson vacuums that I just started a thread to see if I should get one, too. You guys sure led me the right way with the Floormate...... now, do I need a Dyson, too???? :)

I love my Dyson....do you have carpeting as well as bare floors? I'm not sure I would have bought my Dyson JUST for tile (it was close to $500 :eek:) but now that I only have tile....I'm still very happy with it :thumbup:

My master closet and a guest bedroom are carpeted, but I almost never go in that bedroom so I rarely vacuum it. Actually, I've been pretty happy with the Hoover (except for an occasional 'spit back') so I'm having a hard time justifying spending this much on a vacuum.....

I think prices on them have dropped but still not cheap. If you are happy with your Hoover I would say keep it till it dies then look at replacing with a Dyson at that time.

Oh Gawd does cleaning interests and dogs go together?? I can't wait to get my Hoover Steam Cleaner this Friday. they were out of stock when I went to buy it sigh

I just hope I can figure out the tanks, the gizmos, and it\s not too hard on my wrists.

I just have to have clean floors again.. Sponge mopping with 3 dogs 1 cat is just not cutting it.

I went to the Hoover site and there are about 6 FloorMate styles! Yikes...what do you have that you love? Maybe a color would narrow it down. They're ALL called FloorMate!!!

I think this is probably the best thing for me to do. I found that Bed, Bath & Beyond carries them for the same price as Target, Sears, etc. AND I can use their 20% off coupons on it. So, I don't feel as rushed to make a fast decision in order to get a good deal. Thanks!! :)

Can't wait to hear how you like the Hahn and the Floormate! It's kinda fun to see others getting so excited about cleaning their floors. :D

This is the one with the attachments that I ordered from Walmart:

Walmart.com: Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub 800, H3060: Appliances

It is cheaper than the Hoover site at $167 plus .97 cent delivery.

They also have the one without the attachments for $159 and the smaller one that Bonny ordered for $129. I think the Hoover store prices are a little higher. My opinion would get the most expensive one that I linked since you will have the attachments. I don't think they can be ordered later for the other models.

I agree with that :thumbup: But since I got mine new in the box for $75ish - who am I to complain that she bought the model without TOOLS to sell to me for half price :rolleyes:;):D When this one dies I will be replacing with a tool model though :cool:

You are so right!!:D I used my Haan this morning in our shower, and really liked it. It's very light-weight, easy to use, and cleans grout extremely well. Tomorrow I going to use it on the morrors and windows.
Who knew cleaning could be so much fun!!

The toughest part (and it wasn't even tough!) was putting it together ;) I looked at all those pieces and was immediately :eek: but it was a snap!

PS looking forward to the dirty pics on Friday ;):D
