Anyone use Hoover FloorMate? What do you think of it? I think I have the FloorMate plus with spinning brushes ~ I'm ridiculously in love with this thing :D |
what is it exactly? |
It's a vac/floor scrubber/dryer all in one. For tile and hardwood floors. My floors were so dirty in my new place that I had to go over them 3x before I got clean water  |
is this it? Amazon.com: Hoover FloorMate Spinscrub 800... Do they make one for carpet/hardwood floors together?? That's what I need. |
I just bought one last week and LOVE ~LOVE ~LOVE it! It works amazing and I could not believe how much cleaner my floor felt after using it. I have laminate and I mopped almost every day. Not so much heavy mopping but spot mopping and they looked clean but after using it I was shocked how dirty the water was after using it. The part that I really like is that also vacuums too so all the little bitzies and hair and gunk that always seemed to be felt even after sweeping are picked up. Oh and I used it on the tile in my bathrooms (it has a tile tool) and it looked fab :) I looked around for the best price and by far it was cheapest at Walmart. It is easier than mopping! You basically just vacuum (which you hate :D) all the dirt AND dirty water off from the floor. A mop pushes the dirty water around and then you let it dry back on the floor  |

I will never be without it again! I have all tile and detest black feet  A single guy lived here before me...I mopped daily - still had black feet but the floors *looked* clean  Now I actually enjoy doing my floors! :D |

No, the FloorMate does not heat the water. I start with hot water ~ the tank is pretty small so it stays hot.Steam mops heat the water (there is a BIG difference in how hot tho). I like this better than the steam mop I tried (shark) besides....I'm a little klutzy with steaming hot water  It comes with a Lysol type cleaner but I use vinegar most of the time for several reasons. It cleans well. It neutralizes and potty accidents:rolleyes:. It smells pretty good. It's safe for Sugar. And I'm cheap :sidesplt: My ONLY complaint is it doesn't do a very good job on edges....but neither does a mop, really so I just quickly do those by hand! |
