How to you ever come back from the horrible foul things that spewed from his mouth? Is there an excuse in the world that could counter all of the hate filled works? I will guarantee you that there are a LOT of people in Hollywood right now saying "its about time". He disgusts me!

I haven't heard the tapes, yet. Not sure if I want to. How disappointing! The girls at work described some of it so I don't really know if I need to hear more. But really, we all put way to much faith in actors in this country. The people we hold up as hero's and role models when we don't even really know a thing about them. This is a case in point. 10 or 15 years ago, most women were crazy about Mel Gibson but obviously we didn't really know a thing about him and now that we do... who wants him? Maybe he was drunk and I should be sympathetic but sorry, I can't manage to muster up an ounce of sympathy.

No, if you heard the tapes there is zero sympathy and zero excuses. I grew up in an abusive household and just listening to these I sat there frozen. Really, there are just no words.

So true, we listen to their politics and environmental opinions and just because they are 'pretty' and can act or throw a ball, we think they deserve our adulation and money. This is no different then OJ. My DD used to work security at a major casino in LV, and now works NHP. I worked for LVMPD. Dennis ***gets so drunk he craps his pants, in public. ***** Washington goes to the VIP section at house of blues where the drugs and women are. Wesley peed all over my DD when she had to cuff him, he was that drunk. Ben ******* is beyond rude to anyone he deems beneath him. Nicole pulls the 'do you know who I am' card. We learned long ago that when the camera is off, most of them just aren't very nice.
And some are way beyond 'not nice'.

I have NEVER been as disappointed in ANYONE, as I am in Mel Gibson! The mouth on that "MAN" ...No wonder he's having problems in his personal life. Isn't he supposed to be such a religious-thinking person? I wouldn't let my baby daughter anywhere near a guy like that; one who has NO respect for women whatsoever, and it violent on top of it. I will no longer see anything he produces in any way, shape or form.

I have run into a star or two in Phx and my neighbor ran into a couple in Hawaii. Best advice is to AVOID them. They only want your money, buy tickets to my show/concert etc. After that you are below them and most you wouldn't want to know.

It seems some like Brittany chose to blame being a child star for their issues. Lindsey L. thinks she's above the law. But Mel.....what's his deal? David Hasselhoff had alcohol issues, maybe Mel is still having alcohol issues too?

Alcohol can turn some people into totally different people if they have to much.

Alcohol only enhances who you already are. Doesn't really change you.

Britney was a confused, grew up too fast, never had discipline, too much power too soon, marriage following apart, having a public nervous breakdown kid, kind of situation. I have no idea what kind of person she is now. Probably not much different than the rest of the spoiled brats that make millions to play pseudo sluts on videos.

He's really gone beyond the pale with this one. There's a part of me that says, "what an a**hole" and another part that pities him. I don't remember hearing any of this type stuff when he was with his wife and I think his personal life has just gone off the rails and he's lashing out. Not trying to make excuses for him....he'll have to pay the consequences of his actions. I just think he needs help and I see his crazy behavior as a cry for help. He shouldn't victimize those around him though, and only needs to look in the mirror to find who's to blame for his troubles.

From what I understand his dad is a real prize as well. He is a holocaust denier-BIG TIME-- and only accepts Mass in Latin-NO Vatican II stuff for him and HIS family!!! But it was O.K. to move the family to Australia so his sons wouldn't be drafted to Viet Nam (elder Gibson and family are originally from the U.S.). So much stuff I think was instilled in Mel by his upbringing, but that is NO excuse for his horrible behavior as an adult. You'd think that he would have become more enlightened over the years.

Another fun fact : Kenny Wayne Shepherd (young blues guitarist extraordinaire) is Mel's son-in-law. How 'bout THAT for a FIL?!

The rant tapes have been on TV all day... can't get away from them. I'm shocked and sickened to think that any man could say such disgusting things to a woman especially when she is the mother of his child.

He's a pig. He's not going to be able to squirm his way out of this one.
