I'm working on getting back to sound eating and exercise habits, and then I plan to find a WW meeting around here and re-join. I think the meetings are what make or break the plan for most people. I know for me that the meeting leader made a hee-YOUGE difference. I do think the 18-20 range is too low. I was always hungry at that level. I thought they bumped the minimum back up to 20-22? Anyway, I would usually make it about 1800 calories by eating a lot of low-fat, high fiber foods so I could get as many calories as possible. The problem, I think, is that my diet's fat percentage fell to almost 0%, and I think it's very hard to stay satisfied with that little fat in the diet. Next time, I probably won't drop down that far. I've found by tracking my calories as well as points that I need 1800 calories / day no matter what. Somehow I have a high metabolism, but a big appetite to go with it, so it doesn't work to my advantage!

| I'm a Lifetime WW member and now work for them as a receptionist at meetings. I've lost 60 pounds and my health has improved dramatically. It is an excellent program. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I think you have to lose more than five pounds, and be at your goal weight for a month. After that, meetings are free unless you are a certain amount over your goal weight. And I think you need to attend a meeting at least once/month? I think there are extra rules for working reception, being a meeting leader, etc.

| Quicksilver is correct. You have to join a meeting with at least 5 pounds to lose and still be within your healthy weight range. After you get to your goal weight, you enter a maintenance phase for 6 weeks and have to weigh in at least twice during that period. If, on the 6th week, you're within 2 pounds (above or below) that goal weight, you become a Lifetime member. You're then eligible to attend meetings for the rest of your life for free as long as you're no more than 2 pounds above your goal. If you do go 2 pounds over goal you pay until you're back to no more than 2 pounds over. Once you're a Lifetime member you only have to weigh in once a month (as long as you're no more than 2 pounds over goal), on the first meeting you attend that month. If you're more than 2 pounds over you have to pay and weigh in at each meeting you attend until you're back to no more than 2 pounds above goal. If you miss a monthly weigh in you pay one meeting fee the next time you go back. |
