I don't think they wanted her to go to badly or they wouldn't have offered her a 30% raise. Wish I was offered that! lol
They said she wanted to make almost as much as Simon, I don't blame them for turning her down.

Simon is American Idol. There is no show without Simon. I think American Idol intently offered Paula a contract that they knew Paula would not agree too. Just like what happen to Vivian, the mom, on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air TV show. I do not think American Idol likes Paula. I do not understand how could American Idol let a know stalker that stalks Paula tryout for the show. I think Kara was always intended to serve as a replacement judge for Paula. I wonder if Kara will change her personality to fit the new dynamics of the show. These are just my opinions .

I want to add that Paula was not that important to them, so they could easily let her go. I will always be a Paula Abdul fan, and I will miss her as a judge on the show.

Yeah, she does have a lot of fans, but it just made me feel good to say it. I just did not like how American Idol treated her that is all. I know this bump in the road will not affect her future goals or plans. The American Idol TV show will go on with a great season.

This morning on the today show, they said they thought she would be offered a contract for next season and she will accept. Is there a conflict with another show she may have signed with?
They were thinking 'no'

Maybe they will let Randy go

we'll let Yorkie Talk figure that one out.

You never know how much of this drama was a requirement of the show. I think she is doing better now but those times she was on drugs were hard to watch.

All I can say is Simon is getting richer every day with the America's and UK's got talent as well and all his other interests.

I heard on Ryan Seacrest's radio show today that today is the first day of tryouts in Denver. They will have a guest judge along with Randy, Cara, and Simon. It's Victoria Beckham. They are moving full speed ahead. Randy was also on nd was looking forward to the 9th season of idol.

I do not think the disagreement over Paula’s contract with American Idol was a publicity stunt. I hope they do offer her a contract that she is willing to accept. I would love for all the judges to return next season. We do not know what happen behind the scenes; we can only speculate.
