Won't be the same without her. She was wacky at times but that was part of the mechanism that is Idol and it all worked together so well. No "motherly" type now and no bona fide pop star judge either. I believe the show will feel her absence...

The show has run 9 years, some people who loved it don't even watch anymore. I will but I wonder if it's on a slow fade out. They all have more than just that show they are involved in now. I think the new girl can hold her own with Simon at least. lol

They said the shows rating have been slipping. I watch it now more than ever but I guess to some it may have run its course. As for the new girl and Simon, I think too that she can hold her own but I'll miss the love/hate banter that he and Paula had. I think she knew how to handle him well. Guess we'll see what happens next...

I will miss Paula. I think the way she and Simon carried on was entertaining. Honestly, Paula was not very good at giving constructive criticism. I wonder if they will just have 3 judges or if they will add someone else.

I'm personally thrilled that she is gone. I just couldn't stand her babbling on and on and saying nothing. She was a waste. Love the show but just didn't like her. She kind of made it a joke. Half the time she was incoherent. Dancing and acting like a kook. Let's get a professional who will give some real advice. Her seal clapping hated that.

Bye by Paula. Go to So You Think Can Dance. That should be great with that other nut with the screaming. I would love to see the talented kids who could really dance, but can't stand her idiot screaming.

I will miss Paula Abdul. She did not always give the best constructive criticism, but I like her personality. I love her music in the 80s. I was hoping Kara DioGuardi would not be a judge for the next season instead of Paula Abdul. I do not like Kara dioGuardi's personality. Sometimes, she seemed arrogant and rude like Simon to me last season. I hope I grow to like her. We need a nice judge to balance out Simon's blunt critiques (JMO).

In the beginning I really liked Kara but then I agree she did seem to be quite arrogant as time went on, I do hope they have her be a person the kids can count on for a softer critique.

It sounds like So You Think You Can Dance wants Paula, I bet she goes there. However I bet she doesn't make any more money than she would if she'd stayed at AI. I got to where I didn't care for her kooky ways but I never warmed up to Kara either. I really liked So You Think You Can Dance but quit watching as I just can't stand the screaming all the time. Can we muzzle her?

I think it was ET that said she wanted 20 million for her new contract; Ryan gets 15, and he's really good at what he does. I really don't think she's worth 20 million, people don't watch the show for her, but I thought she was good at softening the blow for some contestants. I think they really wanted to get rid of her for a while, but had to ride out her old contract, and letting her go when it was obvious she was having problems would have been too big a blow for her, this way everyone saves face. I don't think anyone watches the show for the any of the judges except Simon; he's the only one I'd really miss, if he were to leave.
