I think that sometimes it might even be "better" to come in 2nd or 3rd - you don't have to follow all the "Idol" rules and can still get a recording contract. Clay Aiken is doing better than Reuber, isn't he?

I was happy to see Lil leave. I will miss Anoop, I would have been happy to see Allison leave. I am just not a Allison fan. Adam and Danny are still my favorites.

My dh and I did not care for the disco queens last night.

Thank goodness for Tivo so we could fast forward through that part.

Oh I thought the performances from the old disco groups were the worst I'd ever seen. It sounded like all of them had lost their voices, if they ever had a voice. In the past, many recording artists could sing in a sound booth with added enhancement, but were not live stage performers. MTV use to be more interested in videos, and if a performer could put out a great song and video, that was the main requirement for making a hit.

So what did everyone think about David A. performance? I still like him but he did sound a little flat and off key in parts of his song. He is such a nice young man. I know it has to be hard getting on a live stage and trying to sing and dance perfectly. I do hope he continues to do well in the future.

I thought he sounded flat too. I generally don't hear the amazing voice others hear/heard in him. I was just a huge fan of his personality. He made me smile throughout his competition. I still hope for the best for him as he should have a loyal following so that helps as he's young and cute and so sweet I just want to go up and pinch his cheeks.

I was pretty dissapointed with David's song.

I did think he sounded flat. The fact that he was so out of breath after a not-too-physical song leads me to believe that he may have been sick or something, which could explain the performance.

I still love him.

I did not watch American Idol last year. The show did not grab my interest like previous or this year, so I am not a big fan of David A. David A. seems like a sweet and handsome young man, but I was not into his song. I need to see him perform this song on his music video and hear it played on the radio before I determine if I like the song. His performance on American Idol last night did not make me wants to purchase his song on iTunes.

My parents enjoyed listening and dancing to disco music when they were young. As I was growing up, I got a privilege to hear their music and seen some of their performances on reunion concerts (TV). They could sing beautifully back then. I think they did not take good care of their voices. They probably used bad singing techniques or they haven't sung in a while. The women lost some of the power they had in their voice, and the man could not hit the high notes like he use to when he was younger. People voices do change when they get older too.

I am glad Lil is gone and Anoop was going to go next or soon. It's going to be harder now that the obvious ones are gone. There is some strong talent left to pick from.

Alot of older people have weak voices, especially singers. I think Neil Diamond should retire, love the man but his voice is gone.

I still like Allison but she just doesn't have the fan base. How many times has she been in the final 3 now

I actually thought Matt should have been in the bottom 3 instead of Allison. I'm ready for him to go. Sorry, but to me he's just a Justin Timberlake "wannabe" and I'm not even that fond of the real one. I want Adam to win with Danny and Allison in the top 3. I like Kris too so it's kind of a toss up. Guess I'll finally have to start voting now...lol

Many people have weak voices, but those two women's voices were not weak MPO. If you abuse your voice using the wrong singing techniques, then you can lose your voice. We have to learn how to sing properly. If you take good care of your sing voice, then it will not sound terrible and weak, has we get older. Our voice do change has we get older (lower voice), but it should still should sound good.

It was so great to see my little David. The kid has still got it. I'm sure we will hear from him for years to come. I was so right when I thought Lil and Anoop would get the boot tonight. One more easy one to pick for the boot, then it will be hard. I still think Adam is going to win.
