I do believe after what she told Sandy, that she is just mailing them to Administration without YT paying the $40.00 ( I think)

I guess..... only time will tell! I hope they are returned this sure has been a .."fine mess we've gotten ourselves in to, Ollie". Everyone who has been working to resolve this deserves a medal.

I think we need to rise above and pray for Missy, that she gets back on track, finds the goodness in her heart, and the books (and maybe any money left) gets mailed to admin as she has stated she will do. This was her response to me......

"Ok, thanks Sandy, I work till 6pm, so the PO will be closed, but this is my last week of work, so i will get them out Monday."

Time will tell.....

Sandy, you are SSSSOOOO right. We do need to pray for Missy that she gets back on track and does the right thing. She has been in my thoughts and prayers since this whole incident came to light. She was such an active, well liked member, it is so sad.......

I also believe in accountability -- and for her to "learn" anything from this and be able to grow she needs to be held accountable for any and all wrong doings in regards to the whole cookbook issue. I cannot believe that her stab at making an apology was very sincere because it didn't include any plan for making restitution.

Weeeelll, I think if a person uses the U.S. mail for what is essentially illegal - it is a federal crime, isn't it? Her eBay selling of the book seems rather outside the law (considering the entire picture) - and if she sent the book across state lines, isn't it even worse? I think the most she could be charged with is fraud, however, one of the definitions of fraud, is "promise of future performance made with an intent, at the time the promise was made, not to perform as promised" You have to prove that she never intended to pay, Yorkietalk when she first made the offer. I doubt if that was her intent. I think if this had been an outright scam, there would never have been a cookbook delivered. While I don't condone what she did, I think she got in over her head, and her personal financial difficulties, lead her to rob Peter to pay Paul. Unless there was some type of contract with Yorkietalk, I doubt if there is anything that can be done.

It's stealing period and now she wants MORE money. Someone needs to file for YT behalf about her on Ripoffreport for alot of things.One to make the public aware of her lies and thieft. Second so other yorkie lists and such know what's she's willing to do.

I reported her to Ebay. That book was stolen. period. What was said is that YT needs to file a police report. What she's done is taken money for a purpose and kept the money. It's like someone having jars around town for a chemo patient that while they exist. never recieve a dime.

May I please explain the reason I started this thread? When orders were taken, I ordered 7 cookbooks for members of my family. I also sent an extra payment for postage when it was discovered that the cost estimate was too low. As you all know, it was waayyyyy after Christmas when they were finally shipped [I don't even remember what the timeline was] I just assumed they came from YT [to be perfectly honest, I didn't even look]. I put them on a shelf in a closet and promptly forgot about them. I ran across them about a month or so ago .... sent some to the kids. When my Amanda received hers [she works for a vet], everyone there was just enamoured with them and wanted one! Sooooo ... I thought, maybe there were a few left and perhaps I could get 7 and send them to her co-workers. The thread was actually meant for Admin or any members who possibly ordered a few and found they didn't need them all. I had no idea who/where they might turn up. Now, after all this, I just would like to let it be known, I don't want them. From what I have read here ... I don't know who owns them, if there are any left! If Dan decides to do a reprint perhaps I will order them then. This has just become way to confusing for me. I am just so sorry I ever asked!

This is some unfinished business that needed to be brought to light - it was being discussed "behind the scenes". I am SO glad that this is all out in the open and that every member of YT has the opportunity to know what happened.

Hopefully Missy will do the right thing in the end - let's all hope so. AND hopefully if there is enough interest Admin will reorder the cookbooks so that they will be available to all who would like to have one.

Absolutely! I would LOVE to meet you and Toto in person! Yippie! It will help me get over the "empty nest sadness". Doogan went home today and both pups are going home tomorrow. My house is gonna be a lot quieter!
