| I have a few friends, including my best friend, that suffer from it. If you are suffering from it, you have my heartfelt prayers. Life altering is an understatement. God Bless.

| I was diagnosed with it this year, but I've probably had it since about 2003.

| I have it and lupus as well. I also have and extremely high rheumatoid factor, as well as positive ANA. I am doing very well, no meds, and would like to keep it that way. I am not a big medicine person. Funny thing is I have all these autoimmune antibodies, but I cannot hold antibodies to rubella, lol. I have been immunized for it about 5 times and it doesnt stick, lol.

| I was diagnosed with it in the early 90's. Being stubborn as I am and refusing to start precription meds that would continue forever, I looked toward really good vitamins and a daily exercise regimen. I am now a fitness instructor and still exercise daily - though I can honestly tell you I am constantly sore and frequently still feel like someone beat the snot out of at night. Sleep is still the most difficult issue for me, but I've not yet resorted to sleep aids. Motrin is my best friend!!!!

| I wish I could work out. I am in the process of getting a treadmill. Winter is really bad for me and this has been the worse in 10 years of having it. I don't know how much more I can push myself. I take Lyrcia at night and cymbalta. I also have had under active thyroid for 13 years which I just got my levels in a good range after 14 months. I had gastric bypass almost 2 years ago (lost 90lbs.) so I cannot take motrin or anything with asprin in it. I was working out last year and doing well but then when the time changed and winter hit that was it. My Tinkerbell is my therapy right now because she knows that I am not feeling well. |

A treadmill would be a good idea. The more you can get yourself moving the better. Sorta like with arthritis, if you can keep yourself active, it slows the progress and you feel better. WTG on the 90 lbs! Thyroid issues are such a pain. I have hoshimotos as a result of all my stupid autoimmune issues and take a non-synthetic (armour thyroid) replacement for it that helped me a lot more than synthroid did. Don't give up on pushing yourself! When you give up, it just gets worse with these things. Once you get moving more, you will see a big improvement. Is it possible at all to relocate to a warmer place?

| Hey. My mom was diagnosed with it before she was diagnosed with MS. The doctor was treating it with no results and had stopped further testing because it was the problem according to him. Luckily she went to another doctor and pushed for more testing because the treatments weren't helping at all. Thats when she was diagnosed with MS. I would just warn to make sure that Other auto immune diseases have been tested for. (Such as Lupus and MS) Sometimes it can be the symptom and not the ultimate disease. Good luck. |

| Yes, I have had this for 13 years along with CFS. It is difficult to live with, however, it does get better after the first few years. The best advise I can give you, is listen to your body. If you get overtired physically or mentally, that is a sign that your body is telling you to slow down and rest. There are some great books out there on this, including in the "Dummies " series. I have about 6 different copies of these books in different subjects, I find them the best on explaining everything in laymens terms. They have a wealth of information. You can find this at Barnes and Nobles in the Health Section. Be leary of the support groups. I found them to be depressing. |

| My mother has it. She was misdiagnosed and treated for 10 years for MS, after retesting her 10 years later they realized it was Fibromyalsia. Its a horrible disease.
