| Headache! UGH!!! I woke up with a headache behind my eyes this morning. I am at work and I took 3 ibuprofen about 3.5 hours ago. Im thinking about taking 3 more at this point. My eyes are sooo sensative to light and hurt so much that i'm wearing my sunglasses to look at my computer at work. (People think Im nuts! haha) What is this type of headache? I feel like my eyes are going to pop out of the sockets and they are burning like they are tired or dry.

| Oh you poor thing! Have you ever had migraines? I used to get them and extreme light sensitivity is a major symptom. Are you feeling nauseous? If it's a migraine you need a dark room and a nap- stat! I hope you feel better.

| Sounds like a migraine or sinus headache.. You might need to go home and lay down for about a hour, in a dark room...Hope you get better. Those are soooo painful.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Sounds like a migraine. I totally agree a dark room and laying down for a bit to sleep it away should help. Hope you feel better soon..those things are miserable.

| ugh.. I wish I could get a dark room and a nap! I am at work and there is no way I can go anywhere. I have resorted to wearing my sunglasses to cut down the brightness. I took 3 ibuprofen this morning ... it cut the pain a bit. I just took 2 extra strength tylenol and it really hasn't done anything yet. I am not nauseous or anything, even the pain in my head is not horrible.. just behind my eyes is a lot of pressure. Thanks ladies! I hope this goes away soon!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If you have aspirin on hand, take that instead of more Ibu/Tyl. Aspirin is a much better pain killer for what you're experiencing. Also, take some caffeine w/ the aspirin as caffeine potentiates the aspirin.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Can you run to the store & get some Excedrine Migraine? I get migraines quite often and if I feel one coming on, I try to take one of those & it usually helps. If that doesn't help, then I have to resort to a nap & my prescription migraine medicine. I hope you feel better. Migraines are NOT fun!!

Find the two spots at the base of your skull - one on each side - they will be hugely sore. Using a firm upward pressure with your third finger from each hand. If it REALLY hurts - you know you have the right spot. Keep the pressure on for about 3 minutes then gradually let up. The headache won't go away immediately, but in 10 to 15 minutes you will realize that it's gone. There is also a pressure point on your hands between your thumb and first finger. You can also look for the sore spot on your foot and rub that | |

| I am often troubled by headaches like that. I've found that Sudafed PE (over the counter) is by far the best thing for me. I also take Advil with it. Then....I lie down with a cold eye patch and it will finally go away. I have been having those type of headaches since winter began, so I just keep Sudafed PE on hand and usually take one in the a.m. and p.m. You can take them every 4 hours...but I haven't had to. Hope your head feels better.

| Like everyone else stated it sounds like a Migrane or Sinus Headache. Advil help me or Tylenol w/ Codine but I go home. Can't you leave and use sick time? Crawling into bed and closing the blinds and sleeping may be your only course to get rid of this. Hoping you feel better soon. |
