I am often troubled by headaches like that. I've found that Sudafed PE (over the counter) is by far the best thing for me. I also take Advil with it. Then....I lie down with a cold eye patch and it will finally go away. I have been having those type of headaches since winter began, so I just keep Sudafed PE on hand and usually take one in the a.m. and p.m. You can take them every 4 hours...but I haven't had to. Hope your head feels better.
