Donating YT 500 Club Member | Anyone else here NOT having to cook for Thanksgiving? Ok, well I'm making the green bean casserole its the only thing they ever assign to me. I'm not complaining. I hate to cook! I try to help out and such but I can't imagine doing a turkey and all the fixings all on my own! We all help out and bring food so it's not too bad but my Mother in law and her sisters cook like crazy and then we have too much left over!

| I really love to cook especially dessert and I always get asked to being green bean casserole to my mother in laws. This year when I asked what I could make they told me nothing. So then I offered to make homemade cranberry sauce. Nope they already bought it in a can. Then I get a phone call last night at 9pm and was asked to bring salad. Needless to say I was a little upset I think I am a good cook and I always get compliments maybe they really don't like my cooking. Sorry about the rant! Inlaws!

I LOVE homemade cranberry sauce, yummy! I bet your cooking is great and they are just jealous As we always go to a member of my family's house for Thanksgiving, I never get any left-overs so my hubby went to the store and picked out the smallest turkey he could find (8lbs) so we are doing our own Thanksgiving on Friday, with just us and the babies Neither have ever made a turkey so we figure we'll experiment when it's just us! Any tips?

I only have to make desserts this year. I really miss cooking though. Our house was usually the dinner place but the kids are spread out now and it is just too hard to get together. I even put a double oven in this house when we moved here 3 years ago. I love smelling all the foods cooking all day and then the leftovers! I am really going to miss it this year...this is the first year we won't be having dinner at home.

| I'm making dinner for my husband and I, AND for the single soldiers at the barracks. They'll happily eat anything that may possibly resemble home cooking though so it is good to go You're a lucky duck though not having to make anything but green bean casserole. I'm jealous. happy thanksgiving! |

| Cooking Everything I wish I could say I wasn't cooking. But I am as usual. Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, corn, rutabagas (for DH), salad. Plus Apple, pumpkin, and coconut custard pies. Son is bringing the Soda. And on Friday I will just relax. But this year only 7-9 people instead of 12 or 13 as in past years. Well I hope everyone just has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm going to my brothers. I'm in charge of the stuffing. It's my grandfathers oyster sausage stuffing. It's been handed down for generations. He has since passed away, but he taught me how to make it for the last few years he was alive. I hope they like it. It's very expensive to make, but I always make alot and then freeze the extra raw for Christmas/New Years.
