I finally have our tree up! I really love the simple, rustic country look so that's how I decorated our tree this year.

The first tree is 6.5ft tall. It's kinda my first tree ever, it may still need more work. And the second tree is my tree in my cubicle at work

Wow girl!! I didn't think there was anyone else on here that did the whole rustic country stuff. My whole living room is done in primitive or country type deco, I love it! I wanted to do my tree that way too but decided against it this year. Love your tree!!!

Here's my tree...same as last year, but I added some colored lights, just for a change. I noticed that my granddaughter rearranged things a bit here...it looked better when I first did it. LOL

Since all our Christmas decorations are packed along with other things for our move, we bought a small three foot flocked tree this year.
We still have more small ornaments to place upon it, but I couldn't wait to post pictures..

Wow, I just had a blast going through all 7 pages. It is amazing how different they all are and all so pretty!

We did something different this year and bought a palm tree to decorate. I have a spot in the yard I wanted to plant one anyway so we just brought it in the house and Christmassed it up. I'm so lucky to have a hubby and daughter as silly as I am to go along with my crazy ideas.

It's a bottle palm. It looks like there's a table under the skirt but that's actually the huge pot it's growing in. We put the pot in a little kiddie pool and covered the whole thing with my tree skirt. My ceilings are 10 ft and the tallest frawn almost reaches so it's a pretty good size- I think it looks bigger than it does in the picture. The last pic is what it will look like in the yard once it's in it's naked state and has grown a bit.

How fun! I like it! The actual tree itself is pretty too.

Here's mine! This is the first year Brendon and I have had a big tree! It's still small, but we both really love it--especially me!

Thanks! I was trying for the star effect from the lights, but I think I over did it a bit.

It's a camera trick actually. Does your camera allow you to change settings? If so, you'll need a tripod, long shutter speed (this one was 30 seconds) and a VERY small aperture (this was f/22). I also used a low ISO (100) so I didn't overexpose. The trick is the aperture. Keep the opening really small and you'll get starbursts every time! Hope that helps.
