It's a camera trick actually. Does your camera allow you to change settings? If so, you'll need a tripod, long shutter speed (this one was 30 seconds) and a VERY small aperture (this was f/22). I also used a low ISO (100) so I didn't overexpose. The trick is the aperture. Keep the opening really small and you'll get starbursts every time!
