Ok guys here's our happy little fake tree. I spent the afternoon decorating it, Its nothing spectacular, but I think its kinda nice. the other picture is a wreath that his parents sent us from the tree farm they always get their tree from.

We did something different this year and bought a palm tree to decorate. I have a spot in the yard I wanted to plant one anyway so we just brought it in the house and Christmassed it up. I'm so lucky to have a hubby and daughter as silly as I am to go along with my crazy ideas.

It's a bottle palm. It looks like there's a table under the skirt but that's actually the huge pot it's growing in. We put the pot in a little kiddie pool and covered the whole thing with my tree skirt. My ceilings are 10 ft and the tallest frawn almost reaches so it's a pretty good size- I think it looks bigger than it does in the picture. The last pic is what it will look like in the yard once it's in it's naked state and has grown a bit.

Here are our Christmas decorations in the living room. We put up our tree last weekend. It is our first REAL tree in about 5 years. My DD (8) was very insistent that we needed a real tree. We let the kids pick it out and decorate it with all their own ornaments.

I took two pics of the fireplace: one with the stockings up & one with the fireplace on.
