| you need to report her so that the they can take the dog away from her. She DOES NOT DESERVE to be a pet owner nor the dog deserves that type of life. If I was you I would report her to the SPCA. ![]() How people can be so cruel to animals??

| Update: I went tonight to the house after dinner to talk to the lady. I gently knocked on the door and when she opened the door she said " What do YOU want?" with this nasty tone. I told her about the dog and that it is living in conditions that are not humane and that if she doesn't want it she should consider giving it away. Then she went on screaming on how she bought that "stupid dog" from a pet store for $2500 because he was a Teacup I felt really bad for the dog I kind of feeling like going at 3am and stealing it, but she knows where I live and she seems crazy.

![]() I think I am going to call animal services and report her....Why do people do this???? I mean why should the poor dog be the one to suffer. I wish I could chain her to the fence without water or food. See how she likes it! Well yeah after I posted I drove by again to visit the poor dog. I brought some food and water. He was starving. He ate it all up quickly and drank about half of a water bottle. I petted him a bit and then left. I will check up on him in the morning.

| Your encounter sounds like one I had with a lady living on the right side of the house behind me. Last summer, she had a big white Pit type dog. I looked over the brick wall one morning & he was in trouble & caught on the gate by his collar. I screamed & ran to drive my car around to the front of her house, knocked on the door to tell her the dog was hanging himself. She told me to get out of her yard & mind my own business. He ended up ok somehow & she got rid of that dog right after that. Well, she has dogs again now, but doesn't have any bonding with them. They are just out back, alone all the time. Really sad. Why do people like this even want a dog to begin with??

| If you need placement, I know someone in Florida who might help! She has 2 chis, and has TONS of contacts in Florida as well.... Let me know if you get him, I am positive she would take him in, even if it was only a "safe" house for now. I pray that poor dog gets the help he so deserves ![]() Wish I were closer, I would get him and keep him myself. That is a disgusting excuse for a human IMO. |

| Report her- again and again if you have to- until you get results. I wouldn't suggest stealing the dog though. That just sounds like a recipe for disaster.

| I'm glad you got him food and water. This lady is horrible!! It's way to hot outside for him to be chained up. And his throat, I hope he doesn't pull too much and damage his trachea. I guess it's up to ASPCA now. I hope they come out right away tomorrow!! This poor dog!

| Sorry, I have to agree with the others. I say to go get him. Hide him out for awhile if need be. Obviously if she said, "Unfortunately, yes..." that the do returned, she's not THAT worried about 2500 dollars! All mine are in the house... from a 178 pound Great Dane to my 2lb Yorkie...and I wouldn't have it any other way. Go get that little guy. He needs you.

Call the appropriate authorities, this woman could say you wanted to buy the dog, but when told it was $2500.00 you decided to steal it. I don't think I would have told the woman that "the dog is living in conditions that are not humane" If something like this occurs again, you have a better chance of making a win win situation if you act like you have been looking for a little Chihuahua for a long time, and just feel in love with this dog, if she ever is thinking about selling it please call you. If you try an win them over without making them feel defensive, you more likely to see positive results. I'm not saying that in this case it would have worked, I'm only saying that no one will agree to giving up a dog after you tell them they're a terrible person, and a dog shouldn't be living like this. You might want to document some of this, you might try to get pictures of the dog chained up, without water, movie would probably work better to show that there was no water. You might also try speaking with the woman again, with a different tone, and leaving your name and number for if she ever decides to sell the dog. Like I said before, I'm not sure this would work, it depends upon how good of actress you are. Please don't consider stealing the dog, try working within the system, and if the system is broken; help fix it.

| Man that is heartbreaking! You did the right thing with the information you had. I really agree that stealing the dog isn't a good idea though. Dogs are viewed as material possessions by the law and even though we've recently seen that the police aren't always willing to step in, you have the potential for a lot of trouble stealing something valued at $2500. I'm sure you're already planning to follow up with a report anyway and I think it's a great idea. I really hope you are able to find an agency to step in for this poor little guy. Please keep us updated and good luck!

| YT 500 Club Member | If she knows where you live, and the dog comes up missing, you could be hit with a felony. Since she said she paid $2500 I think that could happen if she said you stole it. Be careful and use good judgment. I don't know if you could get on Yorkie Talk from jail.

| She'd have to prove I'd stole it. I'd be like yeah I did try and get him because he was being abused but she said no. I didn't steal him, perhaps he got loose again and ran off. Bummer too bad i hope you find him.
