| I love food, so I have a hard time with dieting. I love healthy food and feel like I need fruits and veggies daily, but sweets are my downfall. I swear I can smell a chocolate chip cookie miles away! I always try to get everything low fat, fat free, no sugar added, etc. I think every little bit helps. I have drank skim milk for probably the last 10 years. My mom gradually weaned us down from 1%. Now, if I drink 2% (what my bf drinks) I feel like I'm drinking a cup of fat. We used to make a drink with whole milk when I worked at Cinnabon. That drink was hundreds and hundreds of calories mostly because of the high-fat milk. I never thought about it until I saw the nutritional facts for that drink. If anyone wants to cut down- just compare the labels on milk- it's amazing how many added calories you're putting in your body without even trying. I don't think everyone necessarily needs to drink skim milk, but even if you go down to the next level it would help. I also know people who have lost 10 or more pounds by just cutting out something simple like soda. The only thing that has worked for me is excercise. I did my mom's Firm tapes for a while and saw some good results, but I hate being indoors and excercising in one place. I began running this year to train for a race and lost weight without even trying. I saw the most weight loss when I first started and was running about 2.5 miles. Believe me- I have never been a runner and even used to cheat in gym class when we had to run the timed-mile! I got used to it and became more comfortable over time. I also heard on Queer Eye yesterday that if you jump rope for 10 minutes that it's equal to running 30 minutes! I've slacked off lately because of the heat and humidity, but really need to get back into it. I loved to watch my body change and for the first time, I actually developed muscles in my legs! The best part was that I could eat anything and wouldn't gain an ounce. (I once had a very shameful night involving me and 9 Oreos in one sitting! And still- nothing!) |

| I have never bought whole milk because in my house we always had 1%....I THOUGHT this was NORMAL milk...I know stupid!!!..but my bf was complaining a while back and so I bought whole milk thinkig it was the same thing bsaically and let me tell you...it is way to thick for me...I don't like it at all..not because I have ever been on a diet but just because I am not used to it. Same thing goes for Soda and Fast food....we never could afford it growing up and so I never really got to eat or drink that...I grew up on iced tea and rice, beans and meat or chicken homecooked...and to this day I can't bring myself to eat McD's or Burger King...it just skeeves me ...and soda is very rare..at 24 I stillw alk around with my Ssips iced tea boxes!!!

| Thanks for the site and all of the support As for now, I'm trying to get a little weight off before I really committ to a diet and this is the best way that I have found. Once that happens, I may switch diets. The diet is going MUCH better. I feel 100% better, and I have tons of energy already. No nap today or yesterday, and I'm not even tired! I've lost 3 lbs already, which makes me feel like a star. The food isn't that bad either...lots of cheese. I saw that thing on Oprah about the Perricone diet. Those transformations were amazing. It was like people had facelifts from being on the diet!

I saw in the media about how fat he was at his death and how bad his heart was etc. I don't know what happened once he went into the coma, but I can assure you that 2 weeks before he fell he was fit, sharp as a tack and NOT FAT!!! I've always wondered how old he would have lived to be had he not fallen...
