OMG some just dumped their dog in my yard!!! Someone just rang my door bell right now and asked why I tied my dog to the fence. I'm thinking that's ridiculous I would never tie my dog to a fence. I walk around to the corner and there she was a little dog on a blue leash tied to the outside of my fence. This is the second time someone has dumped their dog in my yard! Five years ago someone dumped a baby beagle in my yard. I took the poor little baby in .... my neighbor who rang the door bell said he would talk to his wife and see if they could take her. But nothing is definite yet. I just don't understand why people keep dumping their dogs in my yard. But I guess it is better here than somewhere else. I'm not sure what breed she is, I think she might be a long haired chihuahua. She's cute and looks to be just recently groomed. |
Post a pic...maybe I can get my dad to take her. He would love a second dog and is home all day now that he is on retired mode. |
Guess your home looks like a safe haven. Let me know so I can speak to my dad. |

OMG How do people live with themselves? It's strange that she seemed recently groomed. Why would an owner who cared for their pet dump them? Is it possible that someone took her and dumped her at your home? Well thank heavens she came to you. Sorry your being put threw this and I hope you find a great home for her. Perhaps you should call the local police to see if someone reported her missing? |
What a great idea! Match made on YT again! :) |
If the dog was freshly groomed it might belong to someone in the neighborhood. You must have an inviting looking home ;) |

I am resizing photos right now. Your right I should probably call and see if someone reported her missing. |
I would have her checked to see if she has a chip. It does sound kind of odd that someone would dump a nicely groomed dog? It could have been stolen, or even just wandering and someone found her and put her in your yard. :( I hope that you are able to find her owners and that they will be happy to get her back. |
I can't understand how people can just dump a dog on someone. Lucky for the dog your a good kind person and will make sure to find him/her a good home. Your home must look like a great safe haven for dogs! |
2 Attachment(s) Sorry I'm still in quite a shock right now. But here are just some quick photos. I still can't believe there's a dog I don't even know sitting in my room right now. |
Post the pics anyhow...we can see if we find the owner. If not my offer still stands. |
Aww she is so cute. |
Oh no ... the poor thing ... what is the matter with some people ???? |
OMG!!! shes sooo cute!!! |
Maybe she's lost and some person, not thinking, was in a hurry and just hooked her leash to your fence, thinking it was your dog?? That doesn't make sense that someone who would give up their dog, especially to drop it at some random person's home, would spend money to have a dog groomed. |

We are going to try and see if we can find the owner. But if we can't I would definitely need to find her a home. She just lying down and crying right now .... poor thing. She probably loved her family so much. Omg .... she knows how to sit and give paw! Sorry still shocked .... |
i feel so sad for that little cutie pie... aww how sad is this.. shes probably soo scared.. |

Take her to the local vet and have her scanned for chips, someone might be missing that poor baby. I would definatly check it out before you find her a new home, I would just hate to think of someones heart breaking:( thinking their dog was lost or stolen, you can also psot on craiglist in your area that you found a dog, that they need to call to identify.... Just a thought as I know I would want me baby back!!! |
She is adorable and certainly well cared for. Something strange going on. I would call the local police to make sure no one called in missing her. Looks like your found a great home for her already if no once claims her. Poor little one. She looks frightened. |
She looks really sweet ... the poor thing .... :( |

Hey can someone take a look at the pictures and tell me what breed she is? I'm guessing between a papillon or a long haired chihuahua. And does her coat look groomed? |
Ahh poor little girl must be so frightened...give her a cuddle and squeeze from us! |
I think that her owner new that you would find her or give her a good home, here in georgia people are loosing there homes to foreclosure and turning there pets in,living them outside at vets offices or living them at there home. |
She is adorable. I think that she might be a papillon(sp?) though. |
Never mind she was not recently groomed .... her nails are long and curly they need to be trimmed. |
She is adorable....I wonder if someone found her by your house & tied her up so she wouldn't get run over??? I bet she belongs to someone, I'd also recommend checking for a microchip at the vets!!! |
