That is soooooooo awful the least they could have done is find the dog a good home instead of dumping her but at least she's at a good loving place now. She is definitely a papillon the ears are slightly larger than a chihuahuas and muzzle is slightly longer than your avergae chi. I posted pics of my longhair chihuahua so you can see some differences.

aww she is cute! it seems kinda strange that someone dump such a nicely groomed dog...i think maybe someone stole him and then dumped her...

wow maybe the precious owner couldnt' care for her anymore and they wanted to give her chance..maybe she belongs to a neighbor and they seen that you had a dog...that they figure you could take care of her...but whatever the reason...i am sure it will work out in the end...

Yea they probably saw that I have a dog and decided to dump her here. Archie is always in the yard trying to ambush a squirrel in the morning. I am slowly introducing her to Archie.

She's a little snappy so I'm guessing she doesn't come in much contact with other dogs. She definitely doesn't bite from how her and Archie come in contact. But she doesn't like Archie coming near her. She probably just scared she's very friendly to every new person she saw.


I am going to take her to the vet tomorrow to see if she checks out ok. Hopefully the vet will give me a discount!

That almost looks like a Pappilon with the long tail and the hair on the ears. How sad.

She is a cutie, hope no one stole it and got scared and tied it to your fence, will be interesting to see if she is micro-chipped.

send WILDCARD a PM as she is an expert in Papillon :thumbup:

You might want also to take her to your vet just to see if she has a microchip . . .it could very well be possible she is even stolen and whomever did that decided that the owner is close to getting to him so he took drastic actions . .

she is gorgeous and so for the owner to just to that is really quite unthinkable. :(

Sadiya (means Lucky)
Delila (Means Guided)
Felice (means fortunate, happy)

You could change the spellings or the names a bit for something cute, like
Delilah (LOVE it for her, you could call her Lil' Dee or Lilah for short)

I don't think she's lost, found or stolen since someone dumped her belongings into our yard after I took her in.

But we are going to the vet tomorrow so I guess it doesn't hurt to just ask. I am going to PM wildcard and she if she has any clues on what breed Sadie really is.

Aweee, how sad that someone did that to her!! But on the up side, at least she got lucky enough to be tied to someones fence that has a heart and loves animals! Has your neighbor said if they were gonna take her or not? f not, I sure hope she finds a loving forever home! God bless you for taking her in and caring for her!

I just looked at the Pap breed page...she definitely looks all Pap to me. They seem to suffer from knee problems. Maybe the owner found out something to that effect and can't afford to deal with it. They also share the yorkie traite for hard to housebreak.

Nope I haven't heard from him.... he said he would let me know tonight or tomorrow. I am getting so anxious waiting ....

I hope nothing is wrong with her knee .... she walks, jumps and stands fine. She hasn't done anything of her business in the house yet. I think she might be trained to go outside.

That sounds like a good start. If I remember correctly they also have teeth problems like yorkies.

Sadie...nice that she has a name now...whoever dropped her off could have left a note in the food bag with important info....dummies! Poor thing gets abandonded by her family, loses family, her home and her name.

I know! I wish they would have left a birthdate and some other important info! Hubby was wondering if it's the same person who left the beagle several years ago. There's alot of families here who buy their kids pets and then suddenly decide the responsibility is too great for them.

Bizzymammabee - I looked inside Sadie's mouth and she already has some build up. Nothing too serious so I'm just guessing she's about 1-2 year old and never had a good brushing.

Well I sure hope your neighbor can take her in and love her, wouldn't that be nice to be able to see her and know she's being cared for and loved. I wonder who it was that dumped her, I mean, obviously they have seen you and know you are an animal lover. Have you ever seen this lil girlie in your neighborhood before running around or tied up? Let us know what the neighbor says about keeping her. Maybe gussy her up by bathing her and brushing her and put a lil ribbon on her, hopefully that'll make the Mrs.'s of the house next door fall in love with her and say yes;)

I wish I knew who she belonged to so I can go over there and give them a little piece of my mind! But I actually have never seen a papillon in my area.

Yes I did want to give her a bath. But decided to wait for tomorrow since she's a little jumpy right now.

I hope hubby takes it okay .... I just realized she's a shedder so it's going to be real tough on him since he has minor allergies. :(

I walk around to the corner and there she was a little dog on a blue leash tied to the outside of my fence. This is the second time someone has dumped their dog in my yard! Five years ago someone dumped a baby beagle in my yard.

I'm not sure what breed she is, I think she might be a long haired chihuahua. She's cute and looks to be just recently groomed.

Yup he's our neighbor across the street. I don't think it's his though ....

i just read this whole thread! Bless you for taking the sweet little thing in. I hope the vet visit goes well. Keep us posted please! i'd love to see more pictures of Sadie.
