| Could be a mild allergy. I suffer migraines and it is awful and I'm 34, can't imagine at 7, poor thing. I've only been suffering for about 7 years and I sit in the dark and take Advil. I would check in with your GP about an allergy it would be a shame if she had to start taking migraine meds at her age. |

| First let me say, I'm sorry for her! I get migraines, and they can be triggered by many things. And are often different things for different people. Are the strawberries the only things that give her migraines? If so thats really not so bad. (I know she is only 7, and thats bad enough, but if she were getting them form a lot of things it would be so much worse.) Probably something in the strawberry that triggeres her migraines, or even something that they spray on them to get the bugs off. Have you ever grown them yourself?? Does Strawberry jam give her headaches too? Look into all of this and let me know. I have had migraines for the last 29 years, and it sucks, Thank god for Imitrex. I have lost so much of my life becasue of headaches. I sometimes get them 2-3 times a week lately. Today was a bad one! PM me if you need more information.

| I have serious chronic migraines...sometimes I get them for no reason, but I do know that I have a food allergy to nuts that causes migraines. I have to be very careful to watch what I eat. I have been getting migraines since I was in like 4th grade so I can relate. I take Excedrin Migraine and it is one of the only things that helps. I go through a bottle about every 2-3 weeks. Good luck, sorry to hear your little one suffers from these horrible headaches. |

| Migraines It sounds like your daughter may have a condition called abdominal migraines that some kids suffer from. My daughter who is five was diagnosed with this last year. She gets these headaches from time to time that cause her to vomit at times. When they come, she has to be in the dark with a cool cloth on her head. I give her motrin which seems to help. The funny thing is that when she vomits the headache seems to go away. I still really can't figure out what triggers them. Also, she does have a history of allergies too. She gets allergy shots twice a week. However, she is not allergic to foods. Only pollens, grasses and molds and cats, horses. I don't know if there is a connection with the headaches or not. There is an organization called "Cyclic Vomiting" that talks more in depth about abdominal migraines and kids with migraines. You can google cyclic vomiting and maybe get some helpful info. Hope that helps...

| Hi Jess, I'm so sorry your daughter has to go through this. It sounds like she's a little trooper though. I've suffered with migraines for about 30 years. Chocolate is one of the things that triggers mine. Also strobe lights and working bent over out in the heat, ie, gardening.

| Im so srry for your daughter. I to suffered migraines where they seemed to last for days. I was on imitrex as well but it didnt help me. I started using excedrin migrane and believe it or not it helps. I first started getting them after my first pregnancy but they now happen very sparingly (thank god). I hope your daughter gets rid of them, i hate the thought of a child being in that kind of pain. |

| There is actually something in fruit that can cause heavy reactions. My husband is allergic and strawberries, kiwis and pineapple are the worst. As soom as they are processed in some way, it doesn't affect him, but if he gets fresh fruit he will blush, feel woozy and get a headache. Try feeding her fresh kiwi and pineapple to see if it does the same, then you know she should not have fresh fruit at all. For my husband melons and bananas are ok. It's some acid in fruit that is bad for him and melons and bananas don't have that much of it.
