| Just to clarify...I am scared of dogs that are potentially stronger than I am because of an incident when I was younger. I'm sure there are some very nice pit bulls in the world! Good luck!

| Bf has a pitbull and we love him... Here are pics of him with my 4 and bfs mom 2 other dogs... He had to stay at bf's moms because he's a family dog but we do plan on getting another for ourselves in the near future. It's all about how you raise them.. And I don't think its fair to make a blanket statement about the breed if you have no experience owning them.. I'll be honest.. I've never been afraid of a pitbull but I have been of labs and other "family" breeds.. They literally crawl in his mouth and lick his tongue and lips.. Here are pics of him... Sooo vicious huh?

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't thing blanket statments are doing a dis-service to the breed - I just posted about a nice one and I know there are many out there - but too many pitts these days aren't trained and too many people just don't care - OR are using them for watch/attack/fighting dogs - which makes them very dangerous if in those circumstances. You don't have to own one to know there are lots of reasons they have the reputation they have. Personally I'm afraid of them - but I know in my heart there are good pitts in the world that would never hurt a fly

| Thank you!!! Finally ppl here who agree with me that Pitbulls are all about training properly and are not blood thirsty dogs ready to attack everything in sight!!! I think they are wonderful ... nvr had the chance to own one... but one day I will... I live in an apartment... LOL

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Actually the first word I think when I hear pitt bull...is Marley. Marley the pitt is my neighbor's dog...and has been trained as hearing service dog for his owner Jeff. He is a big sweet lug...Marley not Jeff. Btw he is the first pitt that's been trained for that service.

| This is the first thing I think about when I hear the word Pitbull. I do think Pits are abused and mistreated by their owners (not all of them but a lot of them) and that's why they are so aggressive. I've also heard of Pits that are loving and very gentle. I guess every situation is different and it's how the each individual Pitbull is trained and raised.
