| My ear (need help) I have two pimples inside my ear canal (gross i know!) They're not really popable, anything else I can do to make them go away quicker. The whole dang right side of my head hurts from them. I would put some zit cream on them, but I'm not too sure if its safe in my ear? Anything I can do to keep them from coming back?

| Thanks! I'll put a hot wet cloth on that side when I lay down tonight. I couldn't think of anything that would really seem safe to put inside my ear.

| A very warm moist washcloth on your ear should bring it to a head that will open on it's own. Poor girl. I'll bet that is very painful. Take some Tylenol for the pain too. It could take a couple of days for it to go away on its own. If the pain gets worse or starts bothering more of your face, then get in to see the doctor OK? |

| Ugh! I know exactly what you are going through I get them inside my ear every now and then too... The hot wet washcloth seems to work the best and try not to touch it.

| YOu could try dabbing it with alcohol on a q-tip, just make sure you dont go too deep down your ear canal with the q-tip. I know alcohol wont hurt your ear canal but Im not sure about zit cream. I dont think it would hurt it, but better safe than sorry. Id do the warm wash cloth also.. usually that will bring it to the surface and it will 'pop' on its own within a few mins. Thats got to be painful, poor girl!

| Owwwwwww I would see a Dr if its been more than 48 hours and youre not feeling better. It could be a staph infection, they like the warm dark areas to grow, like the ears or the inside of the nose is common too. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck, hope youre up and at um soon! | After the hot washcloth, put some neosporin on a q-tip and dab it in there. That will take away any possible infection, and make them go away sooner.

| for pimples(not sure how you could do it inside the ear), if you take some honey and put on them, then a bandaid, that will usually clear them up |

You can also use the rounded end of a bobby pin to pop them once they get a head on them. Don't go too far into your ear though, and make sure that you clean it with alcohol. It almost works like a blackhead remover.

| I've gotten those before and I just kept putting pimple meds on them- morning noon and night. The hot washcloth thing just made it bigger. The only time I touched them was when I was putting the medicine on it. |

| OK, This is going to sound strange but my mother used to but a cabbage leaf on boils and pimples then cover them with warm moist compresses. She claimed that the cabbage was like a drawing salve. She also had me put scotch tape on face pimples overnight. They almost always came to a head during the night! Mom came from the south and grew up during the depression - she was full of old folk remedies! |

| That IS a new one...I bet it would work though! Probably would have the same effect as vaseline-it would keep the air from circulating around it, and make it come to a head. Cabbage does have something in it that acts like a drawing salve...a friend of mine just had a baby, and she opted not to breastfeed, and the nurses told her to put cabbage leaves in her bra to draw the milk out and to help dry her up quickly.
