| oK, We're back. I don't really care for the doctor (spec.) that was there either. Don't doctors know how to be nice for kids...grrrrrrrrr anyway...no surgery needed right now. he looked up her nose couldnt see anything...then put a cotton ball with numbing stuff on it up her nose. waited a few, went up with a scope looking thing on a tube with lights...only up that side. He didnt see anything and said it couldnt be in the sinus cause it has a boney area to pass (which i felt like whatever cause I've seen on the internet this happening to people) so he said she either sucked it down her throat when she was crying hard (which i dont see how it didnt choke her seeing it was large - unless it was just really soggy) but he said it could have got sucked into her lungs. We did a xray to ck and just waiting to see the results. He did say that a paper sticker would probably not show up. SHe freaked out when they put that scope up her nose...its was so terrible and sad and the jerk just said in a really hastey voice, noW settle down or this will hurt you. Oh that's a good thing to tell a 3 year old. The only words they hear is hurt you. Then he was just really short with us etc. SOME doctor don't need to be doctors. Dont get me wrong I'm been to some terrific ones that are just great, but these were not it So....we left with them saying...Now keep an eye on her, if she gets green or yellow discharge, starts coughing, or runs a fever call us right away.... Thanks for your thought and prayers. I'm not real happy with what they said, but I prayed that she'd not have to have surgery, and she doesnt. So I thank God. Its in Gods hands now. Oh, I have Maddie birthday pics from Friday to post here in a few days. Lexi says thank you too!!! PS. Have you ever seen a $1000.00 dollar sticker.....hahahah Last edited by DENISE517; 03-17-2008 at 11:28 AM. |

| Some doctors just don't have bedside manners to begin with and really have no patience when dealing with children - Jerks!!! Will continue to pray that Lexi will pass this naturally. Totally reminds me of the time my mom was babysitting and the little girl stuck a french fry up her nose and off to the ER we went.....but I know you didn't have a younger child with you who then locked herself in the ER bathroom and they had to send maintenance to take the door off the hinges cause my little sister wouldn't just unlock the door!!

| oh my, I will keep them both in my prayers . . .just a quick question though, if she sneezed, does not not come out, as supposed to being further shoved in? Maybe it flew and she just did not see it . . how is Lexi feeling though? Like something went even further down? |

| Poor Lexie....I hope everything works out and she doesn't have any more problems from the sticker. It is horrible how they treated her. I just don't understand.

| Wow, that hospital has winner doctors, don't they? I am so sorry she was treated so badly. Hopefully it is in her stomach and will pass naturally. Did they say if it could cause a problem if it is in her lung? Still praying for you and little Lexie.

| Thank goodness she didn't have to have surgery, and I hope and pray it has somehow dissolved or ended up in her tummy. Please give her hugs and kisses from me. I think you should put in a complaint about that jerk of a doctor, but it will probably go nowhere. I don't think places give a rat's behind anymore. Hopefully you'll get more response than you did when I wrote the postmaster general for you. It just seems no one gives a darn anymore about how their employees treat the public. It's a sad, ole world. Hugs to you too, Denise. I bet you didn't get much sleep last night!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep her in my prayers. That is so terrible about the doctors, that's why their are nurses!!! When we had to take my 88 year old Dad to the er a few weeks ago, we go this nurse who couldn't have been nicer and went way out of her way for my Dad and treated him with such respect. I commented to her how wonderful she was and she said she was just helping out that she was a pediatric nurse upstairs. Doctors need to take a lesson from these nurses.
