Awwww. 9 is probably right on the border. When I was about her age, my grandpa was passing, and my mom made the choice NOT to take me. She thought that I was too young to have a sad memory be on top of all of the great memories.

So I think it's a decision only you can make. I think that there are pros and cons to both. But I will pray for God to help you make it.

When I was about 7 My Grandpap (This grammas Husband) Died. He and I were Very close. I remember times with him Like they were yesterday. They are sweet sweet Memories. My little sister said to me today." Lori I think of it this way... If Gramma does Pass She will finally be with her one True love". I think If I do go down I will want to bring her but I will have to speak with her Father about it and see what he thinks...

How sweet! As I deal with my own mom, I honestly understand that I am not nearly as "sad" for her as I am for those of us she's leaving behind. And one of those is my dad (her husband). So take A LOT of comfort in your sweet sister's words. They are golden.......

Lori, I'm so sorry to hear you are going thru this. My father died at 66 only 3 weeks after we learned he had lung cancer...it was devastating for me, my sisters and our children. My oldest was 11 and my youngest was only 3..but he did get to see & kiss his "papa" goodbye. It still saddens me sometimes but I just could not make the call. May the higher power wrap his arms around your grandma and hold her tight....I do pray she is not in any pain. Big hugs to you and your family!

I heard some background noise on the phone but I never heard you answer. weird. I knew I should have called back...but i hate calling people more than once, I don't want to be a pest LOL

Well You all I talked to her . I made it though with out Breaking down I did that right after I hung up . You all she sounds Terrible. I am going on my moms advice and not going to worry about making reservations or planing the trip till we have the news with a prognosis.

Please Please Keep us all in your prayers.
