| Lori...I'm so sorry and sad to hear this news. I lost both my Mom and Dad to cancer. I hate that disease. I will pray that your Gramma is able to beat it and live a long life. In the meantime, just be close with your family. I swear cancer is as hard on the loved ones as it is on the patient. I'll be praying for you, Lori and I'm sending lots of heartfelt hugs.

| Lori, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I know how much you love your grandmother and miss her. I hope she will reconsider treatment. She is really young to not try it. I'll keep all of your family in my prayers. |

| I am SO sorry! My Papaw was diagnosed with severe lung cancer at 57...but he went into remission after a year of treatment! Sadly, due to the pathetic local hospital we lost him 2 years ago to a series of small heartattacks that occured while he was under medical supervision; he was only 60. Just cherish all of the time that you have with her now, even if its just simple phone calls to say "I love you". I know I wish that I had done that more with my Papaw. Its just so hard to see someone you adore so much be in such pain. Don't let what the doctors say bother you too much, they don't know as much as they'd like you to think! Just be praying I'll say a prayer or two for her and your family!~Hugs~

Lori take a deep breath. My grandmother was diagnosed almost nine years ago. She forgoed the treatments and they had said she would have maybe 6 months tops....well she lived normally and healthy for a whole six years. She refused the treatments because she was already in her 70's and knew that her recovery from them would have been worse and probably made her die faster. Anyhow she lived her life normally for that time and only at the very end did she start having any issues. She would only take advils when she had pains. So while I am sending you prayers and hoping for good news for grandma I wanted you to know with the right treatment, attitude and keeping a good healthy outlook she will do well. Love and hugs to you and your family.

| (((Lori))) I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. She and your family will be in my prayers. My mom was 66 when diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She told the doctor that she'd rather die than have to wear a colostomy bag and go through treatment again (she beat breast cancer when she was in her early 50s). Well to make a long story short, she changed her mind about treatment and she is still with us today and healthy. I"m sure your grandma is just in shock at the moment, she may change her mind about treatment after she has time to think things through. |

Oh Lori, I am so sad to hear this. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I have to agree with Bizzymammabee, though. There's a time to fight and there's a time not to. Please help her... but make sure no one pushes her. Sometimes it's harder for the families to let their loved ones make decisions that are best for them. It might be that she'll need your strength just to stand by her. Love and Best Wishes!!! ![]()
