I hope that's not true. Surely, if people were judging her like that, she would have never made it to the top 6. At this point, it truly doesn't matter what they sing any given night. It's the home stretch, and people vote for their faves no matter what. Case in point - Brooke.

people are so judgmental about things they don't understand. I personally Love Carly's tats, but i know lots of people frown upon them especially because she has a half sleeve, which is awesome by the way.

this is why i hate the last few episodes of American Idol. It becomes a popularity contest so people like Brooke and Jason stay and people like Carly and Michael Johns (and soon to be seyesha) go home. Neither jason nor Brooke deserve to be in the top three with the two Davids. they aren't very good singers/performers. they are just pretty, cute, quirky, innocent, whatever.

I think I figured out tonight what might put people of where Jason is concerned. I personally find him adorable and talented in a quirky, laid back way.

Jason really lacks social skills. He just has had no experience in anything like this. He's so out of his element. I don't know if the poor kid knew anything about Broadway. He doesn't have good communication skills and poor presentation skills except when performing. He is a typical college kid that's never bothered to explore anything outside of his own circle of friends. All of this I find quite endearing and makes me root for the underdog. I can't imagine how this exerience will help him mature.

Diane, I think you've got a point. Something about his personality just really bugs me, I guess. He seems so unimpressed by everything when there are people who are DYING to have the opportunities he has. Maybe I'm just crazy or upset or something, but I just find him to be almost totally ungrateful for what the public has GIVEN him - or if he is grateful he really stinks at showing it.

and plus, I just don't think he's that great of a singer. Maybe if he was more of a performer. He doesn't perform, he just sits there and sings. I mean, he's a good singer. If he was just some random guy singing somewhere, then I'd think he has an amazing voice. But he's on American Idol - alongside some of the best singers in the country - and I just don't think he's good enough.

And last night just really...did him in for me. He totally destroyed that song, IMO. I'm all for people putting their own spins on things - but that was just a little crazy. I know that he didn't realize how big of a song he was doing. But if he was preparing to sing that song, then IMO, he should have been actually studying the SONG and what it IS, not just the music.

In a way they really want to know who the audience thinks is popular and has talent even if they are wrong since they are the ones that will buy their DVDs and Videos BUT I just hate it when they are wrong. At least Syesha made it at the end

Yep, you got it. That's what I forgot to add. That he doesn't seem to be appropriately awestruck (or appreciative) by it all. (He actually was caught yawning waiting backstage. Ugh!) And if his charm doesn't touch you, then I can totally see why people are put off and think he doesn't appreciate it. I really think that he is just so lacking in social skills that we can't see what he thinks about it all. I mean when he "gets by", he isn't really even appropriate offering condolences to the other person. He just doesn't know how to act.

I think of my brother and if he suddenly found himself in a situation that talent brought him to, but was under a huge microscope - he would act JUST like Jason. Maybe that's why I do still like him.

while I have not been a Carly fan, I am dumbfounded by how she is gone & Brooke & Jason are still in and not even in the bottom 2. Carly was the better singer there - but inconsistent as are Brooke & Jason

I'll tell you one thing those screaming girls will sure buy anything he puts out. In a way it's kinda refreshing to not be so awe struck like David A. who is so nervous and seems to be more so each week. Just my opinion and I love this show.

That's exactly what I thought. I don't care if it's Brooke or Jason, they both need to go. Brooke use to be my fave female in the beginning but Carly has blown her out of the water. I thought Carly was such a great sport. She showed a lot of class.

I must tell you I find Jason adorable too. Maybe not nearly the talent of a couple that are left but if he has the right song . Keep thinking of over the rainbow.

I too thought Carley was an absolute love at the end and showed alot of class.
