I think different time zones must have different volumes of people voting. I rarely seem to get a busy signal when I'm voting. I have to comment on this though. There are a lot of screw ups when it comes to famous people. 9 times out of 10, they don't come into the business as trainwrecks. The MEDIA has a big part in helping them ruin their lives.

TMZ trashing David brought on this speech. David is a GOOD kid. He seems kind, considerate, humble, down-to-earth, appreciative, etc. And then you see people bashing him. If they didn't like his singing, that's one thing, and they have a right to comment on that. But that's not what they're even talking about. Why would they take this kid who is on a GOOD road headed for AMAZING places and make fun of him and try to offend him? Its so stupid. All it does is ruin lives. Clearly, this one incident isn't going to ruin David's future/career. But I think its REALLY REALLY pathetic and sad that they feel the need to do that whenever someone with a possible future comes along.

I'm new when it comes to performing, but I can say that everytime you work on something, you're supposed to be discovering it all over again. There's plenty of songs that I've heard and sung a bazillion times in the past, and now that I have a teacher to really work on them with, its like completley new material. I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to performing, but I have an idea of what goes into it, and the people who run those trash sites have no right to judge on things like that.

I found the Coat of Many Colors book I was talking about earlier. Love it! It was buried in a box somewhere.

PS - I think Ryan is a jerk.

I know it wasn't directed at me, Megan. I was the messenger (even tho I did 'fess up to the giggle at the Napolean bit). TMZ is simply one of those entertainment shows that has staff that do nothing but dig. They never said anything really "negative" towards him. So really, it was just extra press for him. I've also seen bits on other shows about how his dad is a horrible stage dad and has pushed him, blah, blah, blah. If he didn't have America's attention, he wouldn't get that press. He's a GREAT kid with TREMENDOUS talent and a sweetness about him. He's gonna have that attention, and as he gets more famous, he'll have to get used to it - even though it's not right.

I want to know if Ryan really is a jerk or if they make him be a jerk.

I think Carly has a great voice. She is probably one of the better singers but I think her tatoos are a big distraction. That's just is not my thing (nothing personal). I agree with Simon, in that she could dress better.

i think Carly is awesome. She's got a great voice, love her tats(especially the sleeve), her look and the way she dresses. I like her "hard" attitude. but that's just me.

I know some people are really into the tatooing and piercings but that was never my thing. My oldest daughter has a couple of small tatoos. What is so funny is that my late grandmother that was born in 1899 had a rose tatooed on her shoulder. She always kept it covered.
What do you think about Jason's dread locks? That takes some getting used to also. I can not imagine how he does his hair and how long it takes.

I like the general way they look, however i do not like the way they smell. LOL dreads just also look dirty up close. They cannot be washed like regular hair and some "hippies" use oil instead. i went to school in the pine barrens of south jersey with a lot of hippies. They all had dreads or weird dirty hair styles and they didn't shower properly. oh god, my freshman year roommate turned into one and the girl showered like once a week. i thought i was going to die from the smell of her hair (among other things.........)

LOL so back to the question i personally prefer the non-dread look.
