no shock that Chekiz was out the door, but I didn't understand why Syesha was in the bottom 2 - she was great last night

I agree Syesha was good. I really think David A, David Cook or Carly will win this year though!

I really think that Ramiele should have gone home. She did a horrible job the last 2 times. If she doesn't step it up I think voters will get tired of keeping her around.

I just really enjoy David Cook and I hope that he wins it all.

I have a few favorites :p David Archuleta - I could just squeeze him to pieces...he is so cute and such a sweet kid! He BLEW ME AWAY when he sang "Imagine". l also love David Cook, Brooke White and Michael Johns (I think I mainly love him just because he is so dang cute!!!) LOL. He looks like he could be an actor ;) I do like Jason Castro as well (he has GORGEOUS eyes and did you see the pictures of him when he was little??? OMG - what a cutie pie!!! :D) - although, my hubby says he looks like a girl :rolleyes: LOL.

I have to say though...and I apologize in advance to this girls fans...but Kristy Lee Cook should have been gone AT LEAST 2 weeks ago. That girl IS NOT that good. If anything, she is just "a good singer" and is "average". I will admit though, she did better this week that she has ever done....still didn't blow me away though - it was nothing great. I personally think that this girl is taking up a spot (now in the top 9) that could have, and should have been given to someone else.

I'm soooo glad that Brooke White, Michael Johns and David Cook are safe!! They are my top 3 favorites. I think Brooke has an interesting voice. There's something pure and unique about her singing. I just love her. Michael Johns is great too. I love that he has that rocker vibe with his Australian accent.

I was soooo not sorry to see Chekize go home. His cheesy dancing and reaching out to the audience has been getting on my nerves. I was never a big fan of his. That being said, I don't think he deserved to go home before Kristy. He was a better singer than her by far. Kristy really killed it for me when she changed that Beatles song to give it a country vibe. Sooo terrible and ever since then, she's just been annoying me. I do think she sang well this week but I agree with Simon, it was a smart SONG CHOICE. No one wants to vote off a girl who sang such a patriotic song -- at least in my opinion.

I really like Ramiele. She has a big voice for such a little girl but if she doesn't bring it this week, I'm afraid that she may be next to go. She has to seriously pick the right song and just go out there and rock it. And at this stage in the show, you have to BRING IT and ROCK IT every single week. So if she doesn't bring it next week, then she deserves to go home.

Ok now about Jason Castro. I've always liked him but again I agree with Simon. Jason seems to be too relaxed and not taking this seriously. I really hope that being in the bottom 3 shocked him enough to make him really work at it next week. He definitely has a great voice. Plus, he's a cutie with those big blue eyes. He can really do well if he would just put a little more effort into it.

My take on the players... (not necessarily in a particular order)
 

Michael Johns IS really good looking, but while he is a *good* singer, he is not a *great* singer, and he won't make it to the end IMO.

Carly is a *great* singer. Very, very talented, and she does have what it takes to win. But...if she does not start picking better songs, she won't win.

David Cook. OK, check it out, Dog...The thing with him is that he is making very SMART choices. I don't think he is the best singer, but if he continues to make the choices he has been making, he will win it.

David ARchuleta. I love this kid. The joy in his face is enough to make anyone just love him. But I don't love the last couple of performances. He has a fantastic voice, and if he can start picking the right songs, he could possibly win this. I don't think he will do so though. :(

Brooke. I love her too. I just think she is so pretty--in an angelic way. Her talent lies not so much in her voice alone, but in the whole performance. But I don't think she will win this.

Jason. Same as brooke, including the pretty part :)

Ramiele. Excellent voice. She has one of the best vocal talents in this competition, but she seems very susceptible to losing her voice when sick, and so she hasn't been entirely consistent. She has the ability to win, but I don't think she will. I would like to see her in the final 2 or 3.

Syesha is good--very good actually, but there is just nothing really exciting about her singing. For me, it is a toss up who will go first: her or Kristy, and that all depends on who does better next week. The other will follow the next time.

Kristy. Sorry, she is on borrowed time. I think Chickezie had much more talent and deserved to stay longer. For him it was choice of song. If someone else doesn't suck really bad next week, Kristy should be going home.

I'm not surprised to see Chikizie go. Any bets on who will go next week? I kind of hope it is Remielle.

I would like to see Kristy go and then Brooke (sorry to any fans). They ALL have good voices. But to me - it should be about who will actually sell albums. Who has something different/special/endearing/etc that will set them apart from all of the VERY talented people already out there. Even little David A - what an awesome voice! But I truly don't know if I see myself ever buying an album that he would put out.

I missed the first 4 but the last 5 I heard I thought all did such a great job. I have never been a fan of Carly, but I thought she was stupendous, as was Michael Johns who I wasn't his biggest fan.

Can't vote, I've got work to do - emm guess that means I'm not suppose to be on YT either. - better getting working :)

Recaps, I thought Ramiele sounded bad - I liked her early on, but I've had second thoughts lately - won't be surprised to see her go this week.

Carly was pretty good. I thought David and Syesha were AMAZING. I really, really enjoyed theirs. I thought Kristy was alright tonight...not as good as I would have expected her to be considering she's Kristy. But good, nonetheless.

I am a HUGE Dolly fan. The song that Kristy sang totally shocked me, because I had that book when I was little. It was my favorite book (and it got lost in our move here last year =(). "Coat of Many Colors" it was just a small little book. But the illistrations were so pretty...and I just adored the story. I didn't realize it was a song before it was a book.

I hope you find your book, it sounds beautiful.

I have heard Dolly tell the story before and about writing the song. It is such an amazing story of her love for her mother. I didn't know there was a book. Does the book mention Dolly or tell that it is a true story?

I'm trying to remember. I hadn't looked at it in a while. I believe that in the back of the book it talks about Dolly and how it was based on her life growing up.

I'm going on Amazon now to see if I can find another one.

That was great. Her voice always reminds me of a wind chime - so crystal clear. I saw her and Porter Wagner in about 1970 at our local fair when I was a young girl. :p
