Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | LOL. My bach. degree is in nursing, so I know docs pretty intimately - my sis and her hubby are both docs. I hate going to the doc. I don't hate docs. BUT, I hate BAD docs - and believe me, there are plenty. Joke: What do you call the person who graduated at the bottom of their medical school class???? ..... A DOCTOR!!!!!!!!

| I have a BS in Nursing too and I just walked in the door from an Urgent care center my doc couldnt fit me in. Trust me I hate going! They seem so surprised that i dont take any medications. Maybe its because i hate going..lol I do believe sometimes people are on just too many medications. If i dont have symptoms, no high bp, no high glucose.. then why should i go unless i am sick? I get a physical at work by the employee health nurse... that is enough for me! I get sick every winter. REspiratory funk...but that's it! I know some patients that live for the doctor..ugghh. I dont think you should know about your doctors family than you do you hairdressers!!! |

| I am the same way... I have white coat syndrome... everytime I got to the doctors, my blood pressure is elevated at the begining of the visit, they are always surprised ... but they take it again at the end of the visit and its fine! LOL

| I hate going to the doctor too! And i worked for one for 6 years! But I hate going. It's such a load of hooey & wasted of time & money especially when they don't know you, or worse are Student Doctors and want to go over everything. I went for a Cold last month, and a Student Doctor saw me. Good Lord. I thought I would never get out of there. He hardly addressed my cold. Wanted to address cholestrol, mammograms (yes I get them!), ob/gyn appts (Yes, I get that too!!!) , my deceased parents. Son-of-a-b***ch, I was so ready to leave it wasn't funny. And did I get anti-biotics? no. So I continued to cough up yellow stuff for another 2 weeks until it worked itself out because they wouldn't give me anything. I was coughing up yellow stuff for a MONTH prior to seeing the "doctor" because I didn't want to go. I thought heck a month of sickness should warrant antibiotics... but no, just a "talkin' to" by some kid doctor. Grrrrr.r.r.r.r.r.r.rrr!!!!! |

| See, this is what I mean. I was at mass general hospital by 1130 and left at 430. 5 hours hanging out with other sick people at lobby. I got anti-biotic and nasal medicine for my dizziness after long hours waiting. I hope this works!

| I used to hate doctors, when I was 18 I was misdiagnosed with a genetic disease that would lead to blindness, they tried treating me for it for about 2 years, lectured me on how the disease will progress until I loose my sight etc.. Then my parents insisted on a second opinion, in the end... I didn't have what they said I had, but it had progressed worse due to the treatment I should not have been on!. Now it's more under control and good thing is, I will keep my sight Bad news is, I spent 2 years miserable thinking I was going to go blind and there was nothing I could do about it, so after those 2 years, i didn't trust any doctors, I actually hated them... but I was young too. Now I love my doctors, I go to Bascom Palmer eye institute, and they're the greatest doctors I've ever had!. But when I was 18, I did hate them lol.

| As soon as I got out from the doctor.. I rushed to a restaurant because I was starving. I had to do fasting blood test.... then I didn't expect myself to be there for that long.. and eating candy wasn't that helpful. Then I went to pharmacy and also got hand sanitizer!!!!!! I felt like I needed some after spending so long at urgent care..
