| 3D ultrasound or regular ultrasound? Our OB has the equipment to do 3D ultrasound. My coworkers daughter also is going to the same OB and he told her it was an extra $250.00 out of pocket because it was not necessary vs the regular ultrasound. Something to do with insurance too. She opted not to get the 3D. Is the 3D ultrasound worth it in your opinion?

| I'd say go for it if you have the extra $...but honestly, it's not much of a difference. In 3D, you can see the face a bit better but it's actually a bit creepy cuz it looks "lumpy"...like alien-ish.. I dont know how to explain it.. They charge you more b/c insurance doesnt cover it as it's more for the parents toi "gawk" over. But honestly, I like the regular better-that was the one I emailed everyone! I had both the 3d and regular done throughout my pregnancy!

| A friend of mine had the 3D done, and thinks it's so cool, that she gives that to her friends/family as baby shower gifts! However, I've seen some of the images from a 3D, and as Miss Pink Barbie said, they can be kind of creepy looking, as the images of the baby are kind of distorted. Check them out by doing a google search-you can find the 3d images as well as the actual photo of the baby after they've been born-some look like their 3d photo, and some don't...

| when I had my children I wasnt given a choice because the 3D was not available. My friend just got a 3D scan and if you have the extra money I would go for it! It is so amazing! I will say that the more months you are the more you can see with a 3D. when she was 4 months pregnant it looked cool but when she was 7 months it was much more defined.

| It wasn't around when I was pregnant but I would have done it in a second! It's so amazing. I just saw Vicky's (Gypsy) and I almost cried. I would have given anything to see such a clear picture of my daughter when I was pregnant. It's priceless IMO.

| I wanted to say you can Google place that do the 3D 4D ultarsound done and have it done alot cheaper at those places and you get a cd full of so many pictures for easy emailing and you get to pick so many pictures that they print out and you also get a video tape of the whole thing and they have like 2-3 large tvs for easy viewing and you can bring up to 8 people at most places. They have different prices for different packages, the cheapest is like $99 dollars and up. but you get more for your money then what you would get at the OB office. |

| I would have the 3d utrasound if you have the extra money. I would love to have had that back when I was pregnant. I have seen a lot of 3d ultrasounds and it really looks like the baby. You can actually see what your baby is going to look like. |
