when I had my children I wasnt given a choice because the 3D was not available. My friend just got a 3D scan and if you have the extra money I would go for it! It is so amazing! I will say that the more months you are the more you can see with a 3D. when she was 4 months pregnant it looked cool but when she was 7 months it was much more defined.
