| I am DONE I am so mad I could spit a nail through a 2x4! I HATE Bank of America. We had an issue with something bouncing and NSF fees. Now, first of all, we can NOT figure out how anything bounced because the balance in our check book (and we round up and do the keep the change) keeps coming up postive, but yet the bank keeps coming up negative. This is not the first time we have had a problem with this and no one can ever explain exactly why. This time though, I have $140 (they are saying FOUR things have bounced and one of them is where THEY took out for their Keep the Change thing) in NSF fees because of it. This is what makes me so mad, every single time we have had a problem we have been told a different answer. The first time we were told if we saw on line something was going to bounce if we got a deposit in there to cover it before midnight there would be no NSF fees. Wrong. We got charged and were told we had to make a deposit before 8 pm in order for there not to be any NSF fees. Wrong again. We got charged and were told this time that any deposit made through the ATM after banking hours wouldn't post until the next business day. This time they are using Christmas as an excuse. It just makes me mad that we do it the way they said and every single time its a different reason/answer. Ok, so, the last time we were told by our local bank manager that any time we had to call Customer Service to always always always make sure we got the reps name. So get this, last night I noticed the NSF fees and I called to ask what the problem was this time (because I made a deposit when I thought I was supposed to make sure nothing bounced). I had a POSITIVE balance yesterday afternoon and we didn't go anywhere or use our card at all and then all of a sudden when I checked before bed there all the NSF fees. The rep REFUSED to give us her name. She absolutely would not do it. We asked her no less than three times. We are DONE with BoA. Absolutely 100% DONE! I wouldn't be so mad if my check book and the bank were coming out the same and I could see that yes, these things are going to bounce or something. I wouldn't even be as mad if this was the first time something like this has happened. Its like money just magically disappears from our account at times. So now when Mike's check goes in in the morning that $140 (if it isn't more by then ) will automatically come out of his check. You know, I wouldn't even be so mad if they would make up ONE SET of rules and stick to them, but it seems like everyone we talk to has a DIFFERENT set and its just frustrating. Plus I just do not understand the Customer Service rep refusing to give us her name.

| Ohhhhh Aerrica....I am so sorry!!! I hate it when the bank screws up!!! First of all, I thought all deposits with any bank have to be made before 2:00 each day for them to count for that day. After 2:00 it rolls to the next day. That is why the bank is so busy around 1:45 each day. But maybe ATM deposits are different. You need to go into your BOA and speak with someone in customer service. They can remove the USF fees. THEY HAVE THE AUTHORITY so beg them!!! lol Explain that you truly felt the money was there and you would of never of written checks if it wasn't. Also have them set up an overdraft protection for you. I am an Accounting / Corporate Finance major but I rely on that overdraft to cover my butt every month. Balancing a checkbook should be very simple but there is always something that throws me....every month I find a careless error that I have made but that overdraft saves me from USF's. I hope you get everything straightened out!!

| Call the main office for BoA. Dont deal with the bank or regular customer service. It sounds like they have made a huge mistake and mishandled your money and dont want to fess up. Call the customer service number and ask for a supervisor and go up from there. Make sure you get everyones name. Tell them about the lady who refused to give you her name, they cannot do that. Every conversation is both voice recorded and also a summary is placed on the computer under your name everytime you call. When you get the $$ thing straightned out, link your savings to your checking so you are protected from bouncing checks. It moves just enough to cover what it needs and there is no fees. Good luck, making a bank admit they screwed up is hard, but it can be done. |

This is not the first time I have heard things like this about BOA. I would call the main office and speak with them. That woman should have given you her name...where she refused I would think she told you something incorrect and didn't want to get in trouble from it. My daughter has BOA and I keep trying to get her to switch banks. They charge her for taking money out of the ATM machine and it's her bank! I don't understand that!

| This is the 4th time we have had issues with BoA and NSF fees. I have NEVER had problems like this before. That is saying a lot because when my oldest were smaller I was a single mom and believe me, there were times when I would have to write a check on a Tuesday or Wednesday and pray like mad that it didn't get to the bank before my paycheck on Friday. What I don't understand is how money keeps just "vanishing". The first time, it was just a few dollars that caused things to bounce. My check book said I had the money, my bank statement said I did not. We couldn't figure out where the money went, but with it being just a few dollars I figured I made a mistake somewhere and just paid the NSF fees. It was only one so I just bit the bullet. The second time the bank made a mistake and I was able to prove it. Three things bounced, but they paid them and removed two of the three NSF fees. The third time was over Thanksgiving. We have a couple of bills that are automatically withdrawn from our account. Well, the holiday threw Mike's check a day late and that's what caused the problem. I managed to scrape up enough to cover it and hurried and deposited it when they told me I needed to. Still got NSF fees because the rules suddenly changed. This time the same thing happened. Christmas threw Mike's check off. I hurried to deposit money to cover it, rules changed again. Also this time, $25 is missing from the account. I can not find it anywhere in my checkbook, or anywhere on the bank statement. So the rep said it must be something that hasn't gone through yet. Ok, but if it hasn't gone through why is it being subtracted from my account? It isn't even showing up as pending and every transaction I've ever made with my ATM card before has shown up as pending. If it was a check they received it would still show up as pending and clear at midnight. Nothing. I am just so frustrated and arguing with them is pointless. They just talk in circles.

| When you call you have to be the one in control of the conversation. Just recently I had an issue with one of my bank cards, let me tell ya I was super wench dealing with the rep. After a while on the phone of me yelling at them, saying how much their payment service sucked they corrected the issue plus gave me a credit.

| We are switching back to Wachovia. The only reason we switched in the first place was because the Wachovia closest to us moved to Carrollton (which is a good 20 - 30 minutes away). We went with BoA because they have a branch right next to where Mike works and he could just run over there at lunch to take care of anything, etc. But we've decided it just isn't worth it. We've only been with them since March and nothing but problems. Like I said the NSF thing has happened FOUR TIMES and that's just in 9 months.

| I called, spoke to another rep who wouldn't give me her name. FINALLY got to speak to a "supervisor". They refused to refund any of the NSF fees. Surprise surprise. No explanation of where the $25 mysteriously disappeared to either. I told them we would be leaving BoA. I explained to them that we get a different story every time we talk to anyone and this was just the absolute last straw. They asked us to remained customers and I told them not on their lives. I have never had so many problems with a bank in my life. Never. I've already opened a new Wachovia account, just have to go by tomorrow and deposit money into it.

| Take all your stuff in and have someone go through it with you. I would then suggest opening another account somewhere and begin transferring everything to filter through the new account. I left BOA a long long time ago for the same reason. Their customer service sucked, they charged fees for every little last thing it was obnoxious. I got charged a fee once for depositing my rolled change because I supposedly had an ATM only account. WTF!?!? You can't deposit change in the ATM.

| I AM SO WITH YOU! I hate 1st Commercial! I vow to have a new account before the 1st of the year! Several times recently I have made a deposit (from another 1st commercial account!) and they waited several days to credit it to my account, allowing several payments (and fees!) to run through in the meantime. I called them on it, fought with them and eventually got them dropped, but what a pain, I shouldn't HAVE to do that! And their customer service SUCKS! They actually told me that it 'wasn't their job to know what was in my account.' Seriously!?! Yes it is! You are a BANK! And told me that I needed to use my check register. Hello!? I DO and can tell you to the penny what is there, what is pending and when what will come out...IF you are crediting my deposits! I called, asked a question, got an answer, called right back, asked the same question to someone else, got a different answer, asked them why Mrs. X told me something else, and had them tell me, "She didn't tell you that." GRRRRRR! I hate banks. I'm going to start burying my money in a jar in the yard. |

| We have the same problem with bank of america! We've had an account there for a few months since we opened a home equity credit line there. Every time we've put money in that account, all of our DEBIT CARD uses have bounced. $35 every time. How in the world could our charges through our debit card even go through if there isn't money in the account??? I told my hubby not to even use that account anymore. I've had it with them! |
