Call the main office for BoA. Dont deal with the bank or regular customer service. It sounds like they have made a huge mistake and mishandled your money and dont want to fess up. Call the customer service number and ask for a supervisor and go up from there. Make sure you get everyones name. Tell them about the lady who refused to give you her name, they cannot do that. Every conversation is both voice recorded and also a summary is placed on the computer under your name everytime you call.
When you get the $$ thing straightned out, link your savings to your checking so you are protected from bouncing checks. It moves just enough to cover what it needs and there is no fees.
Good luck, making a bank admit they screwed up is hard, but it can be done.
