| Oh my gosh, that was the best story of the year. You wrote it so well. I could see myself right there too. I'm so happy that you called the cops. Once she put her hand on you, then it just became assault.

| Oh, KELLY! How awful! I can't believe the nerve of your neighbor to 1. let her doberman, of all dogs, roam free 2. not have him up to date on his shots and 3. accuse YOU of sicking your dog on hers and demand you pay? WhatEVER! That woman is insane! Oh gosh, you know I'd want to fight her. But calling the cops was the best thing you could have done, so good job. It's best not to start a neighborhood fight, either. Not that there isn't tension now, but you def. don't want to worry about your safety when you come home at night, etc. I'd love to see pics of your pretty flower bed! (Even after she tromped thru it, I'm sure it's still gorgeous.) I don't know if I'd make her pay....I mean, for principal, yes, she ought to pay for every cent...but I'd hate to aggrivate the fight and make it worse b/c you might have to go to court to get her to pay damages and then you'd be hiring lawyers and that might be more hassle than it's worth. More than she's worth alltogether, hmph. I think it's great you have such a protective dog! I'm amazed that he made it out w/o a scratch, that's amazing. What made the other dog be so vicious though?! You know that's a learned behaviour for dobermans...

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | wow i love my neighbors!!! that woman is an idiot!!! its a good thing she went to jail!!! what happened to the dobe?? i'm glad you and recon are alright! when my lab rusty was attacked by a pitt bull across the street the guy did the same thing. my dad called the cops and they came. they went over to talk to the guy and he told them that I (6 years old!!!!!!) told rusty to go get his dog. well, it turns out he got a fine like $700 or something. then the cops came back and saw that rusty had a HUGE tear on his throat. all the pitt had was a bump from flipping rusty over and hitting his head on a car. as of right now the guy's in jail for robbing a gas station. i personally think he should have been in jail all along. (the pitt was put down becuase he was told not to bring it into town again and he did)

| Kelly, I'm glad you and Recon are OK. I'm glad your other two weren't outside. I hate to sound negative but this may not be over. That woman will be madder than a hornet when she gets out of jail and may try to take it out on you or your property. Just watch your back. You were so smart to call the police. Now they have a record of what went on.

| Im not too worried about her to be honest. She can try to take her anger out on me but I am not the one that messed up. I have some really great neighbors right next door that helped me separate the 2 dogs and they really look out for me. I dont want to sound stuck up or anything but this whole neighborhood knows that I am not one to mess with. i take no crap from anyone. As for the dobe, the womans boyfriend took it to the vet and it got like 12 stitches. He came over and told me that he was sorry for what happened and asked if Recon was ok. Said that the dobe doesn't much care for other dogs, I was kinda a b**** to him and told him that he better keep the dogs outta my yard. He kinda questioned me when I said dogs as a plural but he got it without me explaining. I told him taht my yard would be fenced by the end of the week too. He was pretty nice. Recon wasnt all to thrilled with this guy. He didn't bark or anything but his hair was standing up. I take my dogs reactions to people pretty seriously because dogs have a 6th sense in my opinon. |

| If you act like a "B" then you should be called one! Well if you act like a "B" then you should be called one. I am so glad that you or Recon was not hurt it could have ended worst. I have to give it to you I don't think I would have been that cool. But you showed you were more of a Lady and conducted your self as one. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when she got to jail and had to be finger printed and take her mug shots! Just be carefull and watch her like a hawk too!

| Wow! Now that's some neighborhood dog drama. We've had some horrible neighbor from hell stories on here lately! I am so glad you are putting up that fence. I know you can obviously take care of yourself without a problem, I don't trust that cray lady behind you! So glad she went to jail and you and Recon are okay! |

| WTF!! That is unbelievable! What a moron! I had some really horrible neighbors where we used to live who just let their dog out without a leash in the morning and of course he would go in my flower garden. She also fed this huge colony of feral cats who hung out in MY yard and were trashing it. I confronted her and she basically blew me off so what I did was get all the s@$t together and fling it into her yard and pool! It was a crappy job (no pun intended) but it had to be done! She never said a word about it either. I had another neighbor who walked her dog on a leash but let him poop on my lawn. Can you believe the nerve of people? I watched as she did it one day and picked it up and chased her down the street yelling "Excuse me you forgot something"! And then I threw it at her. I never saw her again! LOL!! My husband thinks I need to go to anger management classes but I just can't get over the stupidity of some people! I'm glad you're getting a fence. They make the best neighbors! Good boy Recon!!

| Hey what goes around comes around. My 100 year old neighbor called the cops on us because the dogs barked to much. We explained to the police that we only let the dogs out to go to the bathroom, and he said it was too noisy and distrubed him. The police said nobody else complained and that as long as they weren't barking all day there was nothing they can do. At the time we were the only one with dogs. Well the neigborhood has really built up, and he is surrounded by barking dogs. I wonder how he's feeling now. What a creep. He wanted us to get a ticket. Now he'd have to call on the whole neighborhood. He hasn't bothered us since that time. |

| Kelly, You controlled yourself so much better than me. I would have seriously hit her. Man the nerve of some people, first she doesnt watch her dog, then tries to get something out of you for the damages! I have to laugh becasue hello, leash law...so no wonder she got a ticket. I agree with the others, finally someone who got what they deserve.

| Wow! Glad Recon is okay. Sounds like this woman is a little crazy! That was nice of the bf to come over an apologize, though. I'd charge her for the flowers just to reinforce your point: "don't mess with Recon or his mamma!" |
