| Campers? Just wondering if there are any others that like to bring their Yorkies camping. If so where do you go camping? We are always looking for new places to bring Buddy & Jake. |

| I know that Passionfruition has mention this. She takes her little guy on some pretty impressive hikes. You should PM her to make sure she sees this post! I think they come over by me in Asheville, NC/ Blue Ridge Mtns/ Mt Pisgah area.

| We took Sophie camping once. It rained the entire time! My hubby said it was the first time he had ever made a dog a sandwich. She was really good and seemed to enjoy herself despite the wet walks! If I ever go again, I plan on taking Lida along. Dogs love the outdoors. I would only worry if you have a dog that likes to bark at strange noises, unless you are going somewhere remote. Have fun! | I havent been camping since I got chloe but I have taken tinkerbell to several places in texas. We like to camping to places like Dinasour state park, Pedernales fall and other "state parks". Lots of fun! In the state of Texas you have to make sure you have proof of current rabies shot. All thought this is proboly obvious I am going to say it anyways b/c it very importnat. Make sure you put mosquito/tick/flea repellant on your baby(not human stuff make sure its meant for dogs). And lots of people bring BIG dogs when camping so always keep your baby on a leash or in your arms. They have little backpack dog carriers that would be good to carry your baby in. I will say that when I brought my min pin camping he could actually get the zipper to our tent open. It was so scary becuase he got out in the middle of the night!!BUt he didnt go far. If you are tent camping I would make sure your tent is doggie proof!

| Not a lot of COOL WEATHER places to camp here in the Texas summers. We have some friends, that's in the process of traveling to Alaska in their Motor Coach, with their Yorkies. They called to rub it in about the cool weather.

| We camp in Michigan all the time in state parks, local camp grounds, and just about anywhere we can park our camper. Macy has been camping with us twice so far this summer. I bought a baby playpen at a yard sale for 2 bucks and put her in it while we not holding her. (Ex. cooking, making smores, camp fire) She loves walking in the woods and chaseing bugs! Her crate fits perfect next to our bed for bed time and for the middle of the night bathroom breaks a potty pad fits perfect on our bathroom floor! We just have to make sure we check for ticks very good every night! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

| My Bruce has been camping now that we are in Alaska for the Summer and he loves it! I think it is because his mommy lets him get a little dirtier than usual...Bruce has little camping fleeces and hiking boots, even his own sleeping bag now! I will post some pics of our last trip...Bruce is a pretty good little hiker, he managed to go all the way up a little minature mountain last week and down himself. If he gets tired I just pick him up and put him in his pet pocket! This weekend he is going to go camping near Mt. McKinley with us! |

| Gayle, we camped last year in the Shennandoah Valley in Virginia. It was absolutely beautiful! We brought Toto home on October 21, 2003 and picked up our new Casita travel trailer in Rice, Texas on October 26, 2003! She has camped a lot since then ... unfortunately we haven't been able to go this summer because we are in Colorado and left the little Casita stored. There are some beautiful places to camp in the South ... my favorite of all is Henderson State Park near Destin, FL, but I love the ocean! Patrick's faves are the parks in the mountains! Toto doesn't care as long as she gets to go!!

| We take ours camping we go up north by Lake Superior usually stay by the lake a couple of days then head to gooseberry state park . they love camping and it is not at all hectic with them they love hiking we have a little dog carrier we bring but noone likes to ride in it they like to walk along, we take all 3 the only hard part is the 8 hour drive up there as 2 of them do not like to ride they get very nervous, seem to settle down about 4 hours into the trip though. They also love fishing seem very facinated by what we pull out of the water, they get all excited, sometimes I wonder who is having more fun our 6 yr old or the dogs. | Schatzie loves to camp! The walks, the smells, the camping treats, etc. We normally camp in MO at the state parks or in AR. We have beautiful lakes here and such and it's our favorite pastime. Well, other than being on YT of course!
