We camp in Michigan all the time in state parks, local camp grounds, and just about anywhere we can park our camper. Macy has been camping with us twice so far this summer. I bought a baby playpen at a yard sale for 2 bucks and put her in it while we not holding her. (Ex. cooking, making smores, camp fire) She loves walking in the woods and chaseing bugs! Her crate fits perfect next to our bed for bed time and for the middle of the night bathroom breaks a potty pad fits perfect on our bathroom floor! We just have to make sure we check for ticks very good every night!
