| My MIL makes these, but she does not use the Cream of Chicken soup. She also boils, then refrigerates, then shreds her own potatoes, but I prefer buying the one in the freezer section! My son actually likes his grandmothers potato casserole without the soup in it better than mine. We also leave the onions out, because our family doesn't care for them.

| I will be making my special green bean casserole. I make it just like the traditional recipe (you know, the one on the back of the cream of mushroom soup can) only I also add a little nutmeg and then I top it with white cheddar cheese.

| I'm always asked to bring this to my daughters home for Thanksgiving: RASPBERRY PRETZEL SALAD Step 1: 1.5 cups pretzel crumbs 3/4 cup melted butter 3 Tbl. sugar Mix together and Bake 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.. Cool then crumble Step 2: 2 (3oz. pkgs.) raspberry jello 2 cups boiling water 2 (10 oz. pkgs.) frozen raspberries Put in serving bowl and refrigerate till set Step 3: 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup sugar 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip Mix together till smooth. Spread over jello layer Top with pretzel crumb mixture. Refrigerate overnight! If you use a very thin layer of mayo in the bowl first it helps so jello won't stick to bottom of bowl. This is a very pretty yummy salad. Especially for Christmas!! |

| I've had that pretzel/jello recipe but with strawberries. It is good, just the right mix of sweet and salty.
