My MIL makes these, but she does not use the Cream of Chicken soup. She also boils, then refrigerates, then shreds her own potatoes, but I prefer buying the one in the freezer section! My son actually likes his grandmothers potato casserole without the soup in it better than mine. We also leave the onions out, because our family doesn't care for them.
