![]() As for the training, mine have always been trained to go outside but Dax was a puppy in the Summer and Tatum was in the Spring so I have no advise there. How cold does it get there in the Winter?

| ![]() Right now it has been about 35 degrees in the mornings and getting warmer by afternoon, but in a few weeks it could get colder. In the dead of winter it can get as cold as 0, not usually though. I was thinking lots of doggie sweaters for the little guy.

| ![]() Wow, yours are definitely black! Are those puppies all from the same litter? It could be the lighting in her pictures but he's definitely not as coal black as your black ones. I'm thinking it's partly the lighting though.

It is hard to tell quality, color, etc from a few pictures, but I have to be honest and say, his coat looks dull-not shiny at all- and he has a different shaped head than I have seen for a purebred poodle. The skull looks a little too broad, which makes me wonder what the father is exactly. Plus, if he does have a brown tinge to his coat, he probably is not going to stay as dark as he is, which is not 100% black already. That is just my opinion!! I am by no means an expert. He is adorable though!!

| ![]() aww hes cute .when I got my charliegirl she was really shinny ,both mother and father was there when we got her and both of them were black .the lady that we got her from said this was the mothers first litter,my husband instantly feel in love with charlie he said her coat was beautiful and so shinny, the mother had 4 babys and all were black 3 girls and 1 boy but the boy was already spoken for. and the one girl was going to the lady mother so we had to pick between 2 girls and charlie was the one that was running around not shy.and she was giving us kisses all over our faces.so she ended up going home with us . ![]()

| ![]() I think the lighting was bad, I didn't see any brown what so ever. He had just had a bath and blow dry, so I don't know if that matters about his hair or not. I think he was shiny in person, but don't know if he was as shiny as he should be. I am so confused. What would be the worst thing that would happen with his hair? Turn to gray, like early or later in life? If they stay black how long do they stay black before they get grey with age?

| ![]() One more thing he is CKC, not AKC. I don't know anything about CKC, is that good or bad. I always thought you wanted it to be AKC if you want a purebred.

I would definitely try to find a way to see the dad of this pup, if your friend doesn't have pictures and/or videos of him. If none of that is possible, I would wonder why the sire is being kept secretive... As to the color issue, if it is just the pics that make him look brownish in the face/legs, then he should stay black... My 3 year old black girl is ink black still.. no fading, nothing. I don't think the blacks will turn gray with age... maybe just around the muzzle area a little. The one my mom had, and then the one I had when I was a kid were over 12 when they passed on, and they were black still.
