He sure is a cutie! I have no experience with black ones so maybe someone else can get a little more specific about the white hairs in the paw pads. Would they have shown up by now? I know I wanted a black one so bad but was afraid to take the chance and have it turn gray. Not that I wouldn't have loved it just as much though.
As for the training, mine have always been trained to go outside but Dax was a puppy in the Summer and Tatum was in the Spring so I have no advise there. How cold does it get there in the Winter?
