I was scammed by Willow ~ BIG time! I was the one that LOANED Alycia $600 to be able to keep Maddie in Jan/early Feb. I felt so bad for her, and at the time was able to do what I thought was a good deed, even thou we are for from wealthy. She assured me she would start advertising her treats EVERYWHERE, and do whatever it took to pay me back as she was thrilled I was able to help her. Shortly thereafter the treat business stopped altogether. I was not happy, but did not call her on it as I knew she was going through yet another (crisis?) in her life. She also told me she was going to get a job as her husband was on disability. In March I told her to start paying me back when they were back on their feet, little did I know……. Reference: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66344 Next thing I know she put $100 deposit on another puppy to better her “breeding program”. What the heck, Maddie and Max “accidentally” tied during Maddie’s FIRST heat, a breeder this does not make! Fortunately for the puppy she put a deposit on, the breeder backed out. I strongly suspect another deposit was made on an additional puppy shortly thereafter, although I can’t prove it, just a hunch due to a post she made. I have no idea if that puppy is in her hands today. I sure hope not because had I known her living conditions at the time, I would not have loaned her a cent to keep Maddie. Living in a filthy trailer with NO running water and 4 small children is not the ideal situation for any living being. I know many respectable people enjoy living in a trailer (her term), heck I lived in a mobile home when I was in my early twenties and loved it, that is not my reason for bringing it up. My reason is if she approaches another person to buy a dog, one might want to give it a second thought before selling to Willow. Her dogs are filthy, matted, and living in less than desirable conditions. I know this to be fact as of a couple of months ago. I doubt much has changed since then. When Maddie’s 5 puppies were born, I was assured I was the number ONE priority to pay back. I took her at her word, and felt I would be paid back as soon as the pups were sold. Needless to say, I was expecting to receive some money as deposits were coming in. NOTHING! According to her after all the pups were sold there was no money left. All the money went to vet bills and delivering the pups to Tennessee. Hello Alycia, you told me your Vet was a country doc who charged $15 per visit. There is no way you spent more than a couple hundred dollars (if that) to have their tails docked and dewclaws removed, as you told me he was SO cheap, and also stated no x-rays etc were done. Don’t even begin to tell me you spent any significant amt of money on Lily (very sick pup), I also know you sold her for $100, so that would have covered any expenditures made on her. As far as delivering the pups, who sells pups for $300 each, RENTS a car to deliver them to TN, when you live in OH? Between rental fees, hotels, and gas/food, not the wisest thing to do. Sounds more like a vacation to me. Bottom line, she sold the pups for a total of $1300, and claims she can’t pay me back a dime. As of August 31, she agreed to start making payments, as she was pretty sure she had a job lined up. I figured I would start seeing some money in a few weeks. She was to finish paying me by Oct 31st. She told me if she was unable to pay it ALL back by Oct 31st she would let me know by Sept 30st. Well, needless to say I have not heard a word from her, and have not received a penny towards the original $600 I loaned her over eight months ago! Not even ONE good-faith payment. Unfortunately, I am not the only one Alycia owes money and/or VERY late product to. I know of a least one other site money/product is owed as well. Reference: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ghlight=willow I also put on my detective hat and I know items she has listed on Ebay are shipping out of Ohio…and I doubt by her hubby. She is clearly listing the items herself, so she does have internet access…... What a pity as this money could have gone to much better causes. SHAME ON YOU ALYCIA, and shame on me for trusting you! |
Oh my goodness Janell. This is shocking! Yet another person on this forum is a scammer. You have the biggest heart, you really do and this person completely used you! I can't believe it. I am so sorry to hear this. |
I'm so sorry this happened to you... Karma though.. what comes around goes around... how can someone do this and live with themselves? |
I am so absolutely sorry this happened to you. You went out of your way to do a good thing and were left in a position like this :(. |
I remember that original post regarding the check and pet store. I am so sorry you got scammed. Shame on her. Maybe you should have requested one of the pups, at least you would have something to show for your loss of $600.00. People like her make it bad for those who really need the help on YT. You think twice and three times before offering any help. I got burnt once here and that was enough for me. Can't blame anyone but myself for believing I was helping. Sorry you can't somehow re-coup your money but hope you do. |
Oh wow! That doesn't sound good at all! She owes you $600 and now has disappeared? I am so, so sorry! :( I just don't understand how someone could do that! From the other thread, it sounds like a lot of people are missing stuff. :thumbdown Hopefully someone will be able to get in touch with her and it will get resolved. |
OMGosh, I am very sorry this happened to you. It is ashame that people have to ruin things for everyone. People like her make it so hard to trust anyone. You did a good thing and she will answer one way or another for the bad thing that she did. :thumbdown Kim |
Wow...that's about all I can say about that. I am very sorry to you for having trusted someone with that amount of money and not hearing a word. These people are the ones who make everyone look untrustworthy and stupid. Ugh, I am so sorry for you, and while I doubt it will, I seriously hope this situation is rectified. That is absolutely ridiculous. And as you said, SHAME ON YOU, ALYCIA! I thought you were a decent person, but obviously not all people can be trusted. Thanks for ruining my trust in online friends. ETA: As someone else said, Karma is a ___. |
Wow:eek: I'm sorry that she did that to you, SHAME ON HER:mad:! She'll get what's coming to her, don't worry. Karma is a real b*tch! |
If you have some of your emails and PM's (and the posts here) I would sick the law on her. That is not right. At least you can be rest assured that what "goes around, comes around." |
Oh Janell, I'm sorry you were scammed. :( You are a good person with a big heart who cares enough to help someone out like that. It is a shame that there are such TAKERS in this world. I, too, know what its like to do lots of nice things for someone, only to find later on: where is she now? Hopefully, Alycia will do the right thing. |
Wow... what a story! So sorry that this happend to you... Im sure its hard, Dont get discouraged because there are still good people in the world... and unfortunately she isnt one of them! But, better believe that carma always has her way!!! |
I am fairly new here and dont know alycia but I just had to say Im sorry that you extended yourself to someone in need and got treated like this. you are a great person and I know you will get what you deserve and more:) |
just so you know, I am the breeder that cancelled the sale to Willow and she DID NOT get one of my puppies. Not then, not ever will she get one. oh, and I also refunded her $100.00 |
I would sue ASAP!. Someone must have her addy from a previous GE and its not a year since the money was loaned ,so u have a great chance of getting your money back:thumbup: |
oh I'm so sorry that happened to you! It's so sad to know that even in a forum where everybody seems to be good people, some are not. I purchased bows from her, and it took some time but I got them. I know some people here never got their orders. If you see this Alycia, you still have a chance to fix this, please return the money she loaned you, you can still make it right... |
I borrowed a stamp from someone the other day and didn't have it off my mine until I could get to the store the next day to pay back. I'm so very sorry and I am glad you posted this so no one else can be taken advantage of in this way. People can be down and out but a loan is a loan and that should be your first concern. You could go to small claims court but if she doesn't have the money EVER then you're right back where you are now. |
I am sorry you are having to go through this, its ver up setting knowing that you can't trust someone!! I am sure that someone on here can help you come up with an idea to get your money back. Good luck! |
Thank you so much everyone for your kindness. I will not allow her to put a damper on what I believe is the right thing to do. I will just be a heck of A LOT smarter next time.......... As much as I'm sure she thinks this is over, she does NOT have the final word on this.... |
This is a darn shame your kindness and generosity has been abused.... I've seen this sort of thing happen a few times on this site and it sure does create a breakdown in the faith of Y.T. members..... When we do business (as in purchasing a pup or a product) or do an act of kindness ( as in donating money or items) from/for a member on this forum and it turns out to be not what was agreed upon, or the goods where not received, this puts the purchaser in a very awkward position as to how or when to make their dissatisfaction public.... I've seen members voice their complaints in a public way so as to warn other potential victims, and then the poster gets scolded and told it should have been handled in a private manner....or the person that's being accused is a long standing member so the complainant is afraid to report the problem out of fears of accusing the well known member.... There has to be a way to report these things in a satisfactory way, after the complainant has exhausted all other avenues in a private way...if it's not made public then it allows the problem to escalate with more victims.... Maybe reporting the problem to admin. and if there's more than one complaint it should be made known  |
Sorry this happened to ya Janell... :( |
Is this the willow that bought the puppy and her CC was never charged so she felt she didn't owe the money too? It makes me so angry that someone comes her to YT and takes adantage of the wonderful warm hearted people we have here. I hope you get it back Janell. |
Oh Janell I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you are taking her to small claims court. Just as many have said, she'll have to deal with her karma but you on the other hand have good karma to look forward to. That was a very sweet and generous thing you did. |
I'm so sorry that there are people who come on here to scam (intentionally) or get themselves into some kind of situation and think the best way out is to just disappear, as I suspect is the case here. Willow needs to come back and make up for all the wrongs - pay the people she owes money to. I know everyone is kind hearted and will forgive her if she makes it right. |
I'm sorry :( I knew I hadn't seen her around here in a long time..I remember her selling bows. I guess we all start to feel like we can trust members that have a post count over 1000 sometimes...and we feel like we know the person when we really have no idea what's on the other side of that name...it's pretty scary. It really makes me mad too because it makes you wary of other YT members and sellers |
I'm sorry this happened to you. You never know who you can trust. |
Oh Janell, I am so sorry Alycia took advantage of your kind heart. What a generous thing you did for this woman! How on earth does she live with herself scamming someone like you? You had so much sympathy for her situation, lent her money in a time of need. I wish I knew of some way to help you, but I have never had any contact with her. If you or some other members here knows her full name, surely there is a way you could track her down? Hugs to you and shame, shame, shame on her:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown, Lauren:) |
It is a SHAME when kindness is repaid with this kind of behavior. I am very sorry that you are going through this, as it is clearly undeserved. I, however, think the world of you for being so kind and giving this....person....MORE than the benefit of the doubt! |
Janell so sorry to hear this...I ordered several grab bag bows from her a while back and when I didn't get (after reading all her posts of what she was going through personally) I told her to forget them as she was way to busy getting her life together to worry about my bows so I asked her to just PayPal my $$$ back. After several weeks she did just that but it was a far cry from the $600 that she owes you. I hope that she is just consumed with other things right now and that she just forgot or that she comes to her senses and does the right thing. :( |
Janell, I am so glad you posted about this! You already know how I feel about it  Alycia should be ASHAMED of herself for doing this to you. How someone can feel "ok" with themselves after flat out SCAMMING someone like this is just beyond me. What she did just isn't right at all. It's really sad when people do this (not to mention, WRONG) because it makes alot of others hesitant to help people out when they REALLY need it - people that DO have good intentions. It's just not fair when a few slimeballs go and screw it up for everyone else! I am just so sorry girl. I hope to God she pays you back SOMETHING, some day. She really should be feeling about 2 feet tall right now  |
