I think Ive cried thru this entire thread praying for the rainbow at the end where all of your babies have found new homes! Now just waiting to find out the who on Rusty!

Megan, you are an incredible young woman. As I have said before, I can only pray my nieces are half the young woman that you are. I know this must be very hard on you and hate that you have to go through it. Your mother is very lucky to have you.

I hope that you continue to visit us on YT-- and keep us updated on your school and talk HSM3

with us when it comes out!

Our only concern is the long travel time, but people do it all the time. One long day seems like a small price to pay for a perfect fit. And that's what this is. I can't wait to introduce Eddie and Jack to their new big brother who happens to get along great with Yorkies.

You are the best! Do you really mean that you all will drive from Alaska to New Jersey to get Rusty? Wow.!!! I am totally impressed ..

And Megan will have peace of mind knowing Rusty has a great home and Jack and Eddie will have an ally to fight the mooses (meese) away .How lucky can you get?

How thrilling to find out you will be giving Rusty a happy home...and Megan and her family will be seeing lots of pictures! You taking Rusty has to make it a little easier for Megan and her family, in saying goodbye. How's he getting there? Is he flying...are you going to get him? Congrats! He'll fly. I'm looking for the shortest-possible travel day. It will be a long day, and it's not ideal, but as I said. It's one tough day for a big dog. After that, his life is gonna be great.

Mike, that is wonderful news. Rusty is going to be a great addition to your family. Maybe he can teach Eddie to be brave around the moose! For a dog, moving to Alaska is like a human moving to Tahiti---paradise! Well, I guess it's paradise for a lot of people too....

OIC now, and I thought you were driving there ..(you must have thought I was so silly to think that even)

But even so, flying him to you is a BIG deal also ...

he will sleep much of the way I hope.

My heart breaks for you Megan, but now at least you know your babies will be taken care of and loved.
