That's ok though - we used to call Pixie "Trixie" on accident because that's my grandmother's cat's name and we were living with her prior to moving up here and getting Pixie LOL

				   | Ahhhh... hopefully he will adjust with ya'lls sleeping pattern very soon. Sounds like you guys are used to a quiet dog house and now get to giggle along with Bogey. Maybe after Pixie feels better she will arruuuuu right along with him

				   | He did a lot better last night. He still did not just get in bed and sleep all night, but we at least got SOME sleep. And yes, we are used to a quiet dog... he is just hilarious!

				   | She definitely does - She is very possessive of me. I think she's scared he's going to steal me or something!

An update on his eye condition: I got ahold of his prior owner today about his shot records and mentioned the eye to her. She said she noticed on Sunday that his eye was matting and he wasn't opening it right. Well, that makes me feel better that Pixie didn't do it... But anyway ![]() He's not looking real well this morning, but I'm contributing most of the matting and nasty gunk around his eye to his medicine (eye drops)... Hubby is taking him back this afternoon for a checkup.

				   | Update on Bogey - his eye is not healing properly.. He's apparently scratched it and isn't letting it heal. He gets a cone now and he goes back on Friday morning for a checkup again. If it gets any worse, he's to go on in ASAP and they're going to surgically remove (some? all? I don't know here) the ulcer so that it can heal.

				   | Poor Bogey... he just felt he HAD to do something to himself to get a "sympathy cone" with his new sister. What a great brother !!! HEHEHE. We have GOT to see pics of your conehead when Pixie is feeling up to having her pic taken.

				   | Sympathy cone!! I love it! Bogey's eye doesn't look NEAR as bad as it did when we got up yesterday. It's not perfect or anything. No miracles, but it's not worse like it was yesterday, either. Although I think he scratched at it the whole night that night... Last night he had a cone and couldn't touch it. He has been trying to get the cone off and scratch at it though, so I'm glad I requested the cone. The Dr. didn't give him one, but I called hubby on his way out and he mentioned to them that Bogey was scratching at it... they gave him one. Pixie cried a bit last night. It was sad - she never cries or whines. And she looks so pitiful... BUT here's the funny thing. When I took her out to potty earlier, she just stood there like, "I can't move. I'm not gonna try to move. I don't wanna pee. I'm just gonna stand here." I took her cone off briefy to make it easier for her to potty... 100% different dog. She perked up and took a few steps (not on her right leg - she can't use it yet). She was ready to run and play. She pottied and I put the cone back on her and... POOF! Back to "Poor, poor, pitiful me" But she's doing well. They said I could offer her some ice chips this morning, but we can't do cold stuff because of her trachea, so I offered just a little water. She took about 2 licks... but at least she got some. When I get home from school, I can offer her a couple bites of food and some pain medicine. And tonight she can eat normally. I guess on the UP side of things though - she's laying down, not feeling well, and not getting excited. Hence, no trachea problems at this time! Who knows - maybe the next 4-5 months of being "down" can help her trachea get stronger? Wishful thinking, I know.

				   | Just a quick update. I just ran home and doctored Bogey up - he is looking really great. His eye was open and everything. He's going to go "play" at the vet's all day tomorrow. I just absolutely can't take him, so I'm going to drop him off, go to school, go get my car, and pick him up on my way home. His previous owner thought you do puppy shots and that's it, he's set for life (or something along those lines). So now that he's turning 2, he's way overdue for lots of stuff. They're going to go ahead and do a fecal and a heartworm test tomorrow... then we'll get him started on heartworm medication. They're also going to go ahead and get him current on his shots. And they're going to look at his eye - and doctor it for me since I won't be around. If it requires, they'll do "minor surgery" (go in with a scalpel and scrape it off). However, at his rate of improvement, I doubt they'll have to do that. So all is going well here, and he is soon to be happy, healthy, and current on everything!
