i swear this is the last time i ask.. he eveyone i have a almost 6 month old male yorkie who is around 7 1/2 lbs..(so big already) and i was upset about how big he got because i really want to try breeding one day..but then i came across a breeder who breeds the large ones sometimes for familes and was interested in using my remmie which made me feel better because i really want to breed someday. but my husband keeps saying that Remi isnt right, he is to long, his hair is to course and short, his colors arent right, his nose isnt right, his ears arent right. and it has really upset me he keeps saying that Remmie is mixed and that his papers were probably fake. he compares Remmie to little girl who is mixed yorkie/pom and that little girl had a long silky coat at his age (i dont remeber if that is true or not) and saying that remmie is ugly! i know that his coat isnt silky at all and that it is really short and taking a long time to come in and that can e normal, i knowthat he will never have along coat but im really upset about him not being what i wanted, i still love him to death but is what my husband stated true? and my husband doesnt like him because he is really rambucioius biting and jumping playing and stuf i try to remind him he is just a baby, but i dont think he understands he just says little girl was never like this or magnum for that matter. so here are some pics of remmie at 5 months and 3 months tell me for sure if he is not right once and for all............ Thanks in advance!!

Awww! He is such a cutie. Who could not love that face? He's a precious Yorkie, I wouldn't necessarily found a breeding line on him but just love & enjoy him. Its in his nature to be rambunctious and he's still a puppy. If hubby doesn't like his energy, he probably wouldn't like a tiny ears up Yorkie either. Don't let anybody run him down.

Remmie Once and for all, Remmie is not "right" for breeding...he is "right" for companionship and love. Best wishes PS..if you want a breed quality Yorkie, deal with breeders who sell breed quality..good luck...

He looks like a Yorkie to me. Mimi has his same features and at 4 months she is already 4 lbs....and still growing. Mimi's hair is growing fairly quick but Timmy's coat isn't. It all depends on their hair growth...some are quicker than others. He is still a baby and as I learned on YT their coats can take up to 2 yrs to grow. I love the long look but I think I am going to keep mine short. They play alot and contantly dragging eachother on the floor so for now I think its best that I keep them short because Mimi gets matted easily. He is such a cuite pie!

Remmie I was just reading your post and my two boys saw Remmie's picture and both went "Awww, he's so cute". He looks all yorkie to me and most yorkies are on the long side, they're now just breeding them to make them shorter. I don't think I'd necessarily use him for breeding though. His ears don't look like they stand all the time. I know how it is to not get what you wanted though. I bought a long haired chihuahua years ago. I paid a lot for what I wanted(a small long haired dog). She turned out to be about 12-15 pounds She lived 15 years and I loved her but I always wished she was that tiny long haired dog I saw in magazines.

Looks like a Yorkie to me! I wouldn't breed him though, I'd neuter him and love him as a pet and companion, like I did with my Google. I neutered him even though I had offers from people to breed him--as beatutiful as Google is though and that he's purebred, I don't think he's considered a breed standard--his fur is too light. He is a well-demeanered sweet dog and everyone who comes in contact with him loves him, even people who say they aren't "dog people." One of my co-workers wanted to breed him too, she has a Yorkie/Shi-Tzu mix but I didn't think that would do ANYTHING for the breed because her girl is part shi-tzu and so the puppies wouldn't be full-bred.

I think he is a cutie pie!!!!! I belive your husband was mean to say these things, I do agree some of them are true. I'm sure he was only trying to help. If he is already 7.8lbs at almost 6months he is to big to breed b/c he could gain more, I'm not trying to hurt your feeling please don't take it that way. I think he is wirely coat I have one like that and he is a year old and his hair does not grow fast, he's only 4 lbs. Best wishes

I think remmie is definitely purebred! He's absolutely adorable!!! As far as size goes....my newest puppy is 9lbs at 4 months. Yorkies come in all different shapes and sizes and they all have different hair. Remmie may not seem to be the standard Yorkie, but that doesn't mean he's a mix. I have three purebreds and they all look different, feel different, and act different.

| Tammy, Remmie is adorable!! I mean. I think that he looks just like my BOY Zoe. I can't believe anyone would say that he's ugly. My Zoe's hair used to be coarse and I shaved it off and now its growing back shiney, silky and soft. It may just be the baby hair. Your Remmie is perfect!

What a babe.... All he needs is to grow into himself,he is only 6 months old he still has his puppy coat,I would wait until he is a year old to judge if he is a full yorkie...I myself think he is adorable, and think he will prove it to all who doubt him.....
