Aww, Brutus is as pretty as a show dog, I just love him! Can't wait to see what he looks like after his 'cut.

You know I've always thought those two little yorkies in the G.W. Little catalog were so cute. I've always say that if I ever cut Reagan I'll do it like that. I can't bear to cut her though, nor can my husband. Isn't it funny how picky they can be sometimes and about things you would least expect too.

Anyway I'll try to find a link that will show them so you can see what I'm talking about....

I'm thinking by the looks of their body, the body is shaved and the legs are long, that they are in schnauzer cut? I don't really know, what I really like though is their heads. Just enough hair to keep them looking all yorkie like and or course still put up in a top know but short enough to keep maintenance low

Brutus has a beautiful long coat! I wish you could keep it, but I agree....with summer coming, he'll probably feel so much better with the shorter hair. However you decide to cut it, I think Brutus will look handsome no matter what.

I LOVE HE'S HAIR. Toki used to have long hair I didn't mind maintaning it. But once he's hair was shaved short I've been keeping it short. It looks much more cleaner and so easy to bathe.

Thanks guys!! I still haven't decided how to cut him yet. I know alot of people are saying not to cut it but really it's for practical reasons. I want him to be able to hang outside with us in the summer and with all his hair I can't. Whatever the outcome it's only hair right? Well that's what I'm saying over and over in my head! LOL!!

He's not going to be shaved though. Maybe just a shorter cut all over except his head.

I put Toby in one last summer, and it was so much easier and cooler for him. In Texas it is just so hot. My daughter hated it, and made me promise that he could grow it out in the winter. I let it grow, but it really didn't get cool here this winter, so I'm fixing to take him back to the groomers for it cut back. I did the body in a schanuzer cut, but I had his face hair in a rounder cut. They did take off the top knot which my kids hated, but it would have been weird looking with it. If these pics post, then you can see what it kind of looked like. He was watching the longhorns play, so you can tell I kept it into football season at least.

Here are the pics. I knew they were probably too big to post. The third one was about a month or so after the cut, so his face grew out more. I like it a little longer, so I'll have them cut less off the face this time.

OH WOW Carolyn - how are you going to decide ? - there are so many cute cuts in this thread....

I went thru the same thing with Chanel - When I had her Puppy Cut - I LAUGHED for a straight week everytime I looked at her - just remember to STRESS TO THEM you don't want him shaved down - lots of groomers hear SHORT HAIR ....and go nuts with the clippers

I mean....LOOK AT HER ! This was a BAD haircut but sooooooooooooooo funny looking it was cute ..SHE thought she was ALL THAT !

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Wow, hard to imagine Chanel ever having a haircut like _that_!!!!!! Poor girl! Good thing hair grows. Wow, I guess all us girls have 'been there' a time or two. She's still cute as ever in that pic, lol, awww!

LOL !! That's my CHEER UP BAD HAIRCUT PICTURE - when I picked up my baby that day I could hardly drive for laughing....She had this face on her like LOOK MOM ! NO HAIR ! and she loved herself ....Just seeing HER happy face made it all better ...but man was that an AWFUL haircut.....

How long did it take for Chanel's hair to grow back? Looking on dogster her coat is beautiful.

Poor girl, Sebastian got a really bad cut once and I never took him back to that groomer. Sweet Pea and Sebi and both going in next wednesday for a hair cut, I am so nervous, but I guess it will grow back.

I took them for a hours walk this morning they were so hot and tired I came home and took them for a swim and now like babies they are knock out

Chanel is beautiful no matter what but

! I CAN'T do it! As much as I love the short hair and puppy cuts I have no cajones! I think what I'm aiming for now is just shorter hair all over. I want him cut with a SCISSORS and not a clipper. Just take off some inches and even him out and shave his belly, pee pee and hiney

and cut some hair off his tail.

Well we'll see what happens on the 23rd!

I hope he's not wearing a paper bag over his head in the next picture I post of him!

OK...well we are back from the groomers! She talked me out of giving Bonnie a summer cut...she said her coat was too pretty. She talked about layering it all over..but told me she didn't think it was what I would like and her coat would show all the scissor marks...so we just took some length off her coat, trimmed her face and legs and tail area...I like it. I will post pics tonight when I get home. I'm glad I had a good groomer because I was so back and forth about what I wanted I'm sure everything I told her was clear as mud

but she still did a good job!
