Kimberley I know! I don't really want to but it's just taking too much time for me to groom him. Well the schnauzer cut is out since my husband doesn't really like it. He would rather keep him the way he is but I say then you groom him! So basically I can do what I want! LOL!!

I got Oscar clipped last year and just loved the cut! I have yet to get them to cut him the same way even tho I take pics with me! The first two pics are the cut we got last year at one groomer and the last two pics are of the most recent cut with a new groomer. I think I like the first cut better! That is the cut I have tried to get them to emulate with no success! Best of luck at the groomers! Oscar prefers his coat short to long!

We always keep Oliver's hair short. He goes every 5-6 weeks. I think it is adorable!

Brutus is so adorable. I love his coat. I keep Gucci's coat relatively short, is not shave thou. I know he will look adorable in any cut. He is just to cute.

He's so handsome!!!! Its funny I am sitting here stressing out because Sebastian and Sweet Pea have an appt. in the morning for a short puppy cute...NAIL BITTING...

Hopefully I will not freak out like I did last time

My groomer calls it a Cocker Cut, basically his back and neck are shaved and the rest stay long, he has a skirt like a cocker spaniel. I can still put bows in his hair. We like it for during the summer. Sorry about the second picture he is peeing, but that is the only one that you could really see how he is cut. Hope this helps.

Thank you, it just gets so hot here in the summer to keep it all long, I trim the skirt more at this time of the year, plus we go swimming alot.

Clue me in....me being a newbie and all.......as Yorkie owners...wouldn't you want to keep the beautiful silky hair? Couldn't you just make it short in the length???

I know all about the wrapping, but having owned schnauzers and showing them....I just could not make a little Yorkie look like the schnauzer...

Guess everyone does it for different reasons.....but, how long will it take to grow back to the length on the floor...???

Have you ever seen a shaved Yorkie? I shaved my Matthias a few months ago... I'm still waiting for it to grow out, although it has finally started to come back in again. The benefit of his shave was now the gold in his face is coming in darker than it was. I swear, though, a shaved Yorkie is so hilarious looking! We affectionately refer to Mattie as Bat-Dog!
